Alexa was busy choosing shoes when she heard a knock on the door.

"Alexa."

Her eyes widened when she realized it was her father. She quickly hid the shoes under the bed and sat on the mattress. Her hand pulled the blanket to cover her whole body while she kept her face straight.

"Come in," she said in a lifeless tone.

When her father came in, he closed the door behind and sat on the upper bed next to her.

"Can we talk?"

She answered with a half shrug then she sat up next to him

Evan stared at his daughter. Her face was becoming more of Daniella especially when her irises changed.

He sighed and place a hand on her head, stroking it lightly.

"I am sorry for being unfair," he started with a heavy sigh.

Alexa was simply shocked, she raised her chin to meet his eyes with full confusion.
