Two hours later, there was a knock on Wen Nannan's door.

A young man stood outside the door, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and his hair neatly combed back. A smile graced his face.

"You must be Miss Wen. I'm Yan Jinyan, the one who spoke with you on the phone earlier."

Wen Nannan nodded. "H-hello."

She glanced behind him. Two people followed Yan Jinyan, but her intuition told her neither of them was the Big Shot Lu.

Seeming to understand her doubt, Yan Jinyan explained, "Mr. Lu didn't come. He sent me to visit you."

"Ah?"

Wen Nannan felt a pang of disappointment but opened the door for him. "Come in and have a seat. I bought a small hot pot, we can start eating soon."

"Thank you."

Hearing the gentle and polite voice behind her, Wen Nannan nodded.

Although Big Shot Lu didn't come in person, his assistant seemed quite decent.
