When Frigga saw those eyes, she momentarily lost her composure as if she was not the Queen of Asgard but rather a prey of Robert's. She even felt her body threatened and began to tremble slightly!
With a swoosh, before Frigga could regain her senses, Robert had already vanished from his spot. He didn't bother with the few Asgardians who had survived by chance; Robert's mind was consumed by a single thought—slaughter!
Compared to the surviving Asgardians, Frigga, the main culprit behind Diana's current plight, was undoubtedly Robert's prime target. Even though Robert's consciousness was gradually blurring and becoming uncontrollable, the remaining consciousness still directed him to Frigga's location…
"Huh?!" When Frigga saw Robert disappear suddenly, her heart skipped a beat. Without hesitation, she swung the blade in her hand toward her side.
Though Frigga did not see where Robert was, her instincts prompted her to attack in that direction. After the sword stroke, she then had the chance to think about other matters.
With a clang, as Frigga's blade swung out, it met with a metallic clash. Before her blade, a wildly fierce Robert caught it with one finger, his eyes filled with brutal intent and unseeable pupils!
The divine artifact that could clash with the Sword of Fire didn't cause any harm to Robert, not even a scratch on his finger. Realizing this, Frigga's pupils dilated slightly, and she instantly altered the trajectory of her attack towards Robert's head.
Facing Frigga's change in tactics, Robert's expression remained unchanged. He seemed to disregard the sword as nothing and slapped his hand to the side, releasing a terrifying wave of Qi from his palm that blasted toward the open air!
Before Robert, Frigga's blade passed through his body without causing any injury, as he had not bothered to block it—it was merely an illusion…
With a swoosh, and in that unoccupied space, Frigga's figure suddenly appeared, her expression carrying a hint of shock as she swung her sword at the Qi wave. This time, the power of the Qi wave was far more terrifying than any divine force previously unleashed by Diana's protective silver bracelet or the starlight coronet!
Frigga had thought she could disperse the Qi wave with her sword as she had done before with Robert's waves, but unfortunately, her sword struck the Qi wave, not only failing to disperse it but also seemingly hitting a bomb, causing it to detonate prematurely…
"Boom!" A terrifying explosion, never before seen in Asgard, echoed across the realm, bewildering the Asgardians who were observing the enormous mushroom cloud in the distance and feeling the trembling earth, their eyes flickering with confusion.
The Asgardians did not understand what was happening, why there was an earthquake within Asgard, nor why there was such tumultuous weather in the sky as if tornadoes were forming.
This was Asgard, after all, a divine realm. While it did have a weather system, it was controlled by the gods' will, and extreme weather events were impossible here.
Remembering that King Odin had appeared and then vanished without a trace, and Queen Frigga had stormed out of the palace hall furiously, the Asgardians suspected that some unknown change had occurred in Asgard, perhaps a crisis…
Moreover, shortly before, Asgard's soldiers and palace guards had left, followed by Asgard's nobility, leaving the civilian population confused and increasingly anxious.
Meanwhile, battered by the horrific explosion of the Qi wave, Frigga was thrown backward, her divine blood scattered, and her blade falling to the ground, while a large section of the Rainbow Bridge collapsed. This bridge, built from the heart and soul of Asgard, was thus destroyed.
Yet, this did not mean that Asgard could no longer activate the Rainbow Bridge; as long as the Eternal Spear, the divine king's weapon, was intact, King Odin could still open the Rainbow Bridge for spatial transport.
However, the Rainbow Bridge Sword wielded by Heimdall was now useless, as it served as the control switch for the tangible Rainbow Bridge, which had been obliterated. How could the Rainbow Bridge Sword continue to function now?
Nevertheless, even if the Rainbow Bridge hadn't been destroyed, it would be difficult for Heimdall to return, as the Rainbow Bridge Sword had already fallen to the ground when Heimdall was blasted into a spatial whirlwind by Robert…
At this moment, Frigga's battered figure landed on an intact section of the Rainbow Bridge. Robert vanished from the spot again but did not appear where Frigga had fallen; instead, he reappeared where her blade had dropped and swung a punch to the side!
With a bang, the true form of Frigga flew out from that spot, not even having had the chance to pick up her blade!
Previously blasted away by the Qi wave, Frigga had managed to suppress her injuries and stealthily approached where her blade had fallen, intending to retrieve it. Having this divine artifact in hand would give Frigga some confidence, but without it, she was unsure if she could withstand the now berserk Robert.
However, Frigga hadn't expected Robert to locate her so quickly again. She thought her being hit by the Qi wave was because her combat intentions were too obvious, allowing Robert to anticipate her actions.
Now, as she was blasted away by Robert's punch, Frigga finally realized that Robert could indeed pinpoint her location. Her illusions and invisibility spells, which were far superior to those of Loki and Susan Storm, could not deceive Robert.
Before his rampage, Robert indeed could not see through Frigga's illusions and invisibility. But now, driven to extreme anger by Diana's predicament, Robert didn't transform into a Super Saiyan all at once, but his combat power had reached that of a Super Saiyan. Moreover, the force of the Giant Ape · Wrath kept increasing Robert's transformation threshold, allowing him to reach the state of a Super Saiyan Mimic, despite his rising combat power suggesting that a full Super Saiyan transformation might soon be possible.
As Robert's aura continued to surge, he locked onto every trace of Frigga's presence and power fluctuations. His heightened perception allowed him to detect Frigga regardless of her rank, as no disguise was perfect against an equal.
Thus, even though Frigga tried once again to use her invisibility and illusions to distance herself from Robert, she could not escape his sight. Robert was faster than her retreating speed, catching up to her and delivering a devastating blow that sent Frigga crashing onto the bridge.
"Boom!" This section of the Rainbow Bridge collapsed under the tremendous force of the impact, and Frigga's body plunged into the river below. She attempted to use the river to hide, but suddenly, she felt an immense sense of danger. Following her instincts, Frigga's divine power surged, moving her aside to dodge.
With a swish, before Frigga could fully evade, Robert slashed at the river with a hand blade, instantly cutting off the water flow and exposing Frigga hiding beneath. Even Frigga's arm was slashed, deep enough to expose bone, as she looked up in shock at Robert hovering above.
The surrounding river water did not fall back to hide her again, as it was held back by an invisible force, resembling the biblical parting of the Red Sea or a scene from Journey to the West.
"Damn you! You've ruined Asgard!" At this moment, angry shouts rose simultaneously. These were Asgardian soldiers and nobles who had survived Robert's initial transformation and witnessed the ensuing battle, charging towards Robert.
They knew they were no match for Robert, but they could not just stand by and watch him destroy Asgard and assault its queen. After all, many of their comrades had already died at Robert's hands; they were not afraid to join them in Valhalla.
Thus, while they roared, they charged at Robert, trying to draw his attention and give Frigga a chance to recover. However, they quickly realized their strength was not enough. Before his rampage, Robert could have easily handled them but had prolonged the fight to conserve energy.
Now, in his frenzied state, Robert no longer cared about conserving energy. He halted his pursuit of Frigga, unleashed a Qi wave at the charging Asgardians, and then vanished from the spot again.
"Boom!" Another terrifying explosion occurred on the Rainbow Bridge, engulfing the Asgardian soldiers and causing another section to vanish completely.
With a thud, Robert reappeared on the riverbed. Distracted by the Asgardians, this attack was not as fierce as before, allowing Frigga, now prepared, to avoid the worst of it.
Frigga backed away, breaking the riverbed under her feet to stabilize her position. Her injuries did not worsen further, a result that dissatisfied Robert, who swiftly pursued her, launching a barrage of attacks like a fierce storm.
At first, knowing where Robert would strike, Frigga could barely manage a defense. But as the battle wore on, she noticed Robert's power growing stronger and his speed increasing, his aura so unstable that even the heat pained her.
With a thud, as Frigga struggled more to counter Robert's attacks, he spotted a flaw in her defense and instinctively exploited it, landing a punch that shattered her armor and turned half her body into a mist of blood.
And this was just the beginning of Robert's assault. Sensing Frigga's blood and perhaps feeling avenged for Diana, Robert became even more exhilarated, his aura growing even more wild. This caused Frigga's condition to deteriorate rapidly, soon turning her into a bloodied figure even as the surrounding Asgardian forces continued to flow into her, sustaining her life. It was said that Frigga had never been so grievously wounded in her entire existence.
At this moment, Frigga had lost all capacity to resist. Even in her prime, uninjured and armed with her divine artifacts, she might not have been able to stand against Robert, who was now in the same realm of power but with a ferocity and strength that continued to climb. Now, with her injuries severe and her divine artifacts rendered unusable, the odds were even less favorable.
Facing the grim reality of the battle, Frigga clenched her teeth and persisted. She knew she was no match for Robert, but she was not one to die easily. If she could just hold on, she believed that King Odin could intervene and turn the tide.
Meanwhile, Robert's relentless attacks did not abate. His every move was a display of overwhelming force, his punches now not just combat maneuvers but expressions of his uncontrollable rage and pain. The battlefield around them bore witness to this descent into chaos, the once majestic Rainbow Bridge now a testament to their devastating clash.
As Frigga was battered and bruised, her hope lay not in winning but in surviving long enough for reinforcements. The constant influx of Asgardian power into her body was the only thing keeping her alive, a divine intervention in its own right, yet even this was barely enough to keep her from succumbing to her injuries.
The battlefield was silent except for the clash of their powers, the breaking of the bridge, and the distant cries of the Asgardian people who could only watch in horror and dismay. They had always seen Frigga as a figure of immense strength and grace, a protector of their realm, and now they witnessed her in her most vulnerable state, fighting a losing battle against an unstoppable force.
Robert, driven by his fury and the power of the Giant Ape · Wrath, was beyond reason. His eyes, once filled with clarity and purpose, now blazed with an unfocused, wild fury. Every strike he delivered was meant to end the fight, to annihilate his perceived enemy, and in his eyes, Frigga was the enemy he had to overcome to avenge Diana.
As the battle wore on, Frigga's resistance grew weaker. Her movements, once fluid and graceful, were now sluggish and pained. Every breath she took was labored, her divine essence flickering like a flame in a storm.
With another devastating blow, Robert's fist connected once more, sending shockwaves through the already crumbling bridge. Frigga's form was thrown back, her divine armor shattered, revealing the deep, grievous wounds beneath. Her blood stained the broken fragments of the bridge, a stark contrast to the once vibrant colors of the Rainbow Bridge.
As she lay among the ruins, her strength fading, Frigga looked up at Robert, her gaze filled with sorrow and defiance. Despite the overwhelming odds, her spirit remained unbroken. She would fight, not just for herself, but for Asgard, for her people, and for the very ideals she had always upheld.
In the distance, amidst the echoes of destruction, there was a faint glimmer of hope. Perhaps, in these darkest moments, the light of Asgard would find a way to shine through. As Frigga held on, clinging to the shards of her strength, she awaited the arrival of King Odin, hoping that he would bring salvation and restore peace to their shattered realm.
