Seeing the timer in front of me, I wasted no time dismissing it as I took in my surroundings. Massive titanic trees with deep purple canopies, tall thick light blue grass, and lovely purple bushes littered the area, making the scene almost picturesque.
"Come on, get moving! You're burning daylight; this forest isn't going to explore itself!" Snapped out of my thoughts, I noticed Apollo floating in front of me, waving his hand to catch my attention.
"I know, give me a second." With those words, I quickly placed the axe in my inventory, deciding that carrying such a heavy weapon would not be helpful unless I encountered an enemy. With that in mind, I began a light jog through the fantasy-like forest, noting how a progress tracker appeared in view as I moved.

'This might take a bit,' I thought as I moved through the forest, climbing over rocks and stepping over logs. Time quickly passed as I made significant progress exploring the forest.

"Weird, I can't move further than here?" I spoke aloud, noticing a massive towering blue barrier that appeared as I approached the end of the forest, which led to a vast plain of towering blue grass.
"This is where Wind Peak ends, so you can't go further. Please focus on your quest." Apollo's words caused me to refocus on the task. As I resumed my exploration, I noticed a significant decrease in my progress. To compensate, I sped up a bit, and with around 45 minutes remaining, I reached 60% completion.
'I'm no longer making any progress.' This realization made me immediately stop my exploration. As my thoughts wandered, I realized I needed to travel deeper into the forest. The thought made me slightly nervous, but not wanting to miss out on bonus rewards, I wasted no time making my way deeper into the forest. The ground slowly slanted upwards and became much rockier, indicating I might be ascending a large hill or mountain.
'The progress is shooting up again, nice.' Noticing the progress increasing again, I felt joy in my chest. I moved slightly faster, though I found myself moving diagonally to cover more ground. Although this slowed my upward progress, it significantly increased my exploration speed. With around 15 minutes remaining, I hit the 80% milestone, which made my steps much more spirited.
'I'm nearly at the top, nice!' I was exhausted, but I didn't let that slow my step. As I finally made it to the top, where I could overlook the forest in full. The sight of which left me abit mystified. Shaking my head to focus, I looked at the progress bar, which was stuck at 89%. Not really caring too much, I took a seat, exhausted from the constant walking and intense hike up here.
I sat there, enjoying some water and a zebra cake I had taken out from my inventory. The breeze felt amazing against my back.
[5 minutes remaining]
"Seems I've got a minute," I thought, taking out this world's version of a Gameboy and began playing until the time ran out and the mission was completed and I appeared back in my apartment which was exactly how I left it.
[You have received 1x Basic Hero Summoning]
[You have received Basic Weapon Token]
[You have received Basic Armor Token]
[You have received 750 Gold Coins]
'Well, that was easy,' I thought, slumping onto my bed and going to sleep, not bothering with my rewards as I felt too exhausted mentally and physically. I was worried about being attacked or something while exploring and dying.
2 hours later
"Ugh," I groaned as I sat up, my clothes a mess, but overall I felt much better. I quickly got up and made some food to eat while I talked to Apollo, who seemed to have a lot to say.
"I forgot to explain the currency system. Could you please bring up the guild menu?" Apollo spoke, getting a nod from me. With a wave of my hand, I brought up the guild menu, noting that my gold was now 1,750 and the purple gem crystals next to it were zero.
"To start off, I want to say you can use the gold to upgrade your guild menu." I nodded, understanding that much, but not wanting to interrupt, I continued to listen to Apollo.
"Gold also has another use in that you can convert it into real-world currency for $10 per coin." This made me quite excited as it meant I currently had $17,500.
"That's good, but I'm not strapped for cash right now, so please tell me how to upgrade my guild," I asked and with Apollo's directions, I brought up the upgrade menu for the [Dormitory Lv1].
'So it would cost me 2000 gold to upgrade the dormitory to level 2. Right now, I can hold 5 heroes, so I should be good for a little bit,' I thought, moving on to the mission board, which also cost 2000 gold to upgrade. This caused me to sigh as I focused on my rewards from my first mission.
"So, Apollo, how does the hero summoning work? Does it just pull them from another world or what?" I asked, causing Apollo to take a thinking pose before speaking.
"Sorry, all I can tell you is that anyone you summon will be loyal," Apollo said, seeming a bit apologetic as he did so. But I wasn't upset as I decided to quickly use the hero summoning and see what happened. And see I did, as a large white magic circle appeared, covering the room and letting out a massive flash of light that temporarily blinded me.
'Damn it!' I cursed mentally covering my eyes in pain.

My name is Lily, and I'm a dermatologist.
I like flowers, bright colors, and zombie movies.
Right now, I'm dying. Well, I think I'm dying; I don't really know. I got hit by a car, and for some reason, I can't feel a thing.
I think I can see the light. Huh, wait, is that a screen?
Would I like another chance at life?
Heck yeah!
(To lazy to deep dive into the heroes just know I will at best talk about theirs likes, death and their thoughts of the offered contract)

As my eye sight recovered what stood before me was young women in her mid 20s wearing what looked to be a beautiful floral dress her hair was black and long her eyes were dark green which I felt was her most striking feature.
"Welcome! Glad to see how quickly you accepted the summoning!" Apollo was the first to speak as he came in front of the woman, sticking out his tiny hand in a welcoming gesture. This caused the woman to smile as she used her pointer finger and thumb to shake the small fairy's hand.
"I wouldn't even be alive if not for that offer. so let me just say thank you so much," the woman spoke, her voice smooth and grateful. She looked past the fairy over to me, who was still a bit stunned to see the hero I had summoned right before me.
"Nice to meet you, Guildmaster. I'm Lily, the [Necromancer]." Seeing the woman named Lily approach and stick out her hand, I was slightly shocked at her forwardness.
"I'm Duke, [Guildmaster]. Nice to meet you, Lily. Do you know why you're here?" I asked, wanting to know how much she knew.
"I know the basics, but as far as I know, I'm supposed to help you complete missions in exchange for rewards and power," Lily said, quickly finding a seat near me as we began to talk.
From what I gathered, Lily was on death's door when the system offered her employment under me. After she accepted, she found herself healed and standing in an empty plain where a screen asked whether she would prefer melee or magic. She obviously chose magic, as she was a massive fan of Black Clover and wanted to use magic—one of the many anime, shows, and movies I find still exist in this new world of mine.
"But why did it have to be necromancy! It's powerful, yes—look at the Night King from Game of Thrones—but couldn't I get wind magic like Yuno or fire magic like Natsu? Noooo, I'm exactly like that no-name necromancer from that one episode in Black Clover. The only skill I got is [Raise Skeleton: Lv1]." Lily was busy airing her grievances, having taken the beer I offered, knowing it would probably take the edge off dying. Meanwhile, I got busy researching her accidents, and yep, I found it on the internet. It seems the system made her a whole new body. As the article says, she died before EMS could save her, so as far as the world knows, she is dead.
"Hey Lily, do you have any family members who might care about your death?" I asked, worried she might have someone who needed her care or parents who would miss her, and as I feared there were quite a few people who matched that description.
"Well theirs my 2 little brothers, Grandpa and my older brother who is off on a business trip in china" Her words gave me a slight headache as even though Lily didn't think about it she might not be able to go see her family any time soon considering people think she dead and last thing we need is someone thinking she is the second coming of Christ.
"Hey Lily, you understand what your death entails, right?" I asked, catching the woman off guard. After a bit of thought, she spoke, her words slightly downcast.
"Yeah, I won't be able to see my family again, right? The system warned me about this possibility, so I was prepared for it when I accepted." Her face looked very sad at this thought, but I quickly spoke, not wanting her to continue such depressing thoughts.
"Well, I will allow you to go see your family, but first you need to let the heat die down so no one else notices you have come back to life." Lily's mood seemed to turn positive as she took another swig of her beer. I left her to go prepare the guest room, which is normally used by this body's parents when they come to visit.
"Hey Lily I prepared the room for you along with a towel and a rag for you to shower with the soap is placed under the sink in the bathroom, we can go shopping for clothes tomorrow, but try and wake up early I want to go on a mission early so we can test out your abilities and maybe get a couple more rewards in the mean time" My words only got a shout of understanding from Lily who was in the kitchen heating up a hot pocket something that made me abit irked because they were my favorite pizza stuffed ones but I shrugged and decided to get some more tomorrow when I took her shopping.
"Oh yeah, I threw a jacket on the bed along with a mask! Try and wear those tomorrow when we go shopping!" Once again, I got an "okay" before I went to my room and closed the door. I wasn't worried about Lily doing anything untoward, as Apollo assured me that any wrongdoing was nearly impossible. Still, I kept the axe by my bedside and locked my door, as I would rather not be turned into a skeleton in my sleep.
Like that I concluded my first day with my new system and thus began the beggining of my life as a guild master
