章 1: The beginning of the end.
(2 days before the slaughter at the temple)
Almhir arrived on Coruscant with confident and happy attitude, he had finally passed the Jedi trials and been promoted to a knight. At the relatively young age of 18 he had completed his trials with extreme ease, this made him arrogant and his former masters had all noted that he was extremely ruthless compared to normal padawans. This combination was more akin to the Sith way of life than that of the Jedi but they believed his natural talent in lightsaber combat and forms would be worth the risk of training him, his original master cited the training of Anakin as a reason to keep training Almhir.
"Come on Anna, we need to get the temple as soon as possible, you will need to start your training as a Youngling, before you can be come a Padawan then a knight like your big brother." He picked up the little girl and moved quickly towards the serene and imposing temple that held both of their futures.
"Brother look at the pretty building over there, those people look so fancy who are they?" The building she was pointing at was the senate of the Republic, the people she had seen where senators moving inside the building, tomorrow they would vote on an act that gave the supreme chancellor the ability to disband the Jedi Order if he needed to.
Almhir smiled and said "That is the Senate it is where selected leaders go to vote on important laws for the Republic, those people in the pretty clothes and vehicles are the ones who vote on the laws. We will need to hurry up, we are running late, I think we should get a taxi to the temple so we can get there sooner."
The taxi ride to the temple was a swift and quite one, the only noise was of Anna pointing out the pretty buildings as they went past them. They walked into the temple and were assigned to their dorms, Anna was assigned to the younglings dorms while Almhir was assigned to the Knights barracks.
His introduction to the Knights' training and life at the temple would take two days to complete, he would be assigned standard armour and would be allowed to use his own lightsaber if he wished. He lightsaber was a unique one that he had created while in a vision of times long passed, he saw a Jedi that wielded two lightsabers, one was a deep and dark blue with a red effect coming out of the core while the second one was the reverse of this with a red core and a blue effect coming off of it.
While in the vision he managed to manipulate a dark blue crystal to create the same red effect as the lightsaber in his vision much to the surprise and alarm of his master at the time. Since seeing the vision Almhir began to train using two weapons like the Jedi he saw, convinced that there was a connection between the two, it drove him to the point where his body almost shut down due the stress of overworking.
The results however allowed him too use the two lightsabers as an extension of his own body like he was simply moving his arms. This still did not satisfy Almhir however due to constantly feeling that the Jedi in his visions was still better than him, he wanted to become the equal of the man in his visions. He only stopped training to spend time with his sister, who despite her young age was the equal to most Jedi knights in force abilities.
She was the apple in the eye of Almhir, the reason he left the home world is that it would be safer to learn under the masters at the temple rather than risk the threat of the remnants of the separatist army attacking the outpost they were training on. This had happened before however the Jedi masters protected the people in the outpost however they had all been asked to return to the temple and they took Almhir and Anna with them.
The following day was training as normal however their was a large amount of tension in the council chambers that was causing rumours to spread around the temple. The rumours stated that the supreme chancellor was in fact the infamous Darth Sidious and that the Jedi masters were going to act against him tomorrow.
The Jedi council members and executive masters tried too quell the rumours and deny them. This was a little effective with calm returning to the temple, little did they know that this would be the calm before the biggest storm that the Jedi ever had to face.
