章 22: I Felt My Soul Leave My Body!
"It makes sense now." Freya calmed down, patting her chest. She turned to the three new wolves, and she frowned, pointing a finger at them, "Where did you find them? They all look so much like the other big guy Aquarius."
"Yeah. I found them in Area 0." Bob glanced at the trio and they had their gaze fixed on Aquarius, "They must be so shocked to see another wolf like them. Uh, although there's a special type wolf, and I named him Demetrius." Bob pointed to the Demonic Alpha.
"Seriously? What are the others' names?" Freya asked, glancing at Demetrius for a second then wearing a wry smile, "And, Demetrius is a special type wolf in what way exactly? They're all looking the same to me. Wait, is it because he's taller?"
"I named the duo Darius and Jacquelyn." Bob asked, pointing at them respectively. He turned to the side and held his chin, "What makes Demetrius special and the others not? Well, the system had showed he was. He also has a lighter shade of azure than the other two."
"Oh wow! I don't see it." Freya blinked, then turned to Aquarius, "He doesn't either."
Bob blinked, then his face turned blank, "We should get moving. The longer we spend here, the faster I lose my sanity. Have you prepared to leave? Did you check on the next area after I'd died?"
"I wanted to, but I wasn't in the best frame of mind." Freya replied, then she nodded, "Okay, boss! Let's go check this room together! Now that there are three more wolves, we should definitely make one our ride! I'll take Jacquelyn, wait— Is it a she? How do you know if it's female?"
'Because the system titled her Demon Lady?' Bob turned to Jacquelyn then opened his mouth to speak with a straight face, "Well, it looks female enough. I guess they are no rules against me naming it what I named it even though my naming sense could be wrong."
"You could have just said you weren't sure." Freya turned around, and clasped her hands behind her back, glancing from side to side until her gaze focused on the door at the end of the area. As she felt the grass on her feet, and the bright torchlight filling her eyes, Freya sighed.
"Let's go, Freya. Demetrius, Darius, Jacquelyn and Aquarius…" Bob stepped past Freya, taking the lead as he approached the door with one hand in his tattered pocket and the other holding the flame serpent fangs, "What a mouthful…"
"You could've done worse." Freya shrugged as Bob opened the door. As he threw her a cold look she rolled her eyes and ignored him, following as he stepped in through the door, "Finally! With four overpowered workers, you're going to rush this massive prison in an instant, right?"
Bob was silent.
"Right?" Freya cooled down — like a bucket of cold water splashed on her body, "I guess we are still short on manpower. Then again, Bob. Why did you recruit only three? Things would've gone the fastest if you recruited like 30 or 50 of them. We'd reach triple digit areas in like, hours."
Bob paused, and then remained silent. Freya noticing this, groaned and turned away.
'This new area looks just like the former one…' Bob thought to himself as the golden door closed behind them. He frowned deeply, 'For two rooms straight, we have never fought stronger monsters. I think it's gotten quite boring… and what's this about triple digit areas?'
Just as he was focused in his thoughts, Bob caught something in his gaze. It was a small shadow dashing in his direction, "Must be another weak as f— wait, shit. Everyone, be on guard! There must be a monster in this area! Freya, cover me, I'm preparing an attack!"

The shadow leapt into the air, and attacked Bob. In the next instance, his eyes widened, and he felt his soul literally try to escape his body. His heart skipped a beat, and all the blood drained from his face as Bob felt a sudden cold rise from within him, "Fuck."

"More than half of my health with only one attack? What the hell is this pure damage!" Bob was stunned, and he staggered back, grasping his chest with his hand and he could feel his heartbeat rise by leaps and bounds, like it wanted to jump out of his throat, "Freya, that thing— Freya?!"
"I can see it! Bob, stand back and let me handle this threat." Freya dashed forward and her gaze was locked on something hiding in the darkness, a cruel smile on her face she she swung her hand and her daggers flew in that direction, "Watch me kill this demon, in an instant!"
'My health is already below 50%!' Bob scowled, and he turned to Aquarius, "We don't have the time to deal with Freya's recklessness! Aquarius, cover me! Darius and Demetrius prepare for me a path I will use in escaping, and Jacquelyn get Freya away from that thing!"
Freya heard Bob loud and clear, and she doubled her dashing speed, transforming into a flicker as she moved towards the enemy, muttering to herself, "I don't care if they believe in me or not. I'm going to eliminate the enemy in a full burst! [Ethereal Illusion] and [Light Burst]!"
Bob raised his hand, wanting to use his developer's hax on Freya, 'Even if I manage to kill her buffs, she'll get cancelled in an instant. Hopefully the enemy is not that strong and she manages to survive long enough for Jacquelyn to save her…'
Freya transformed into an arrow of light, and that one arrow divided into a hundred arrows of light as they all flew at the enemy, joining the flying daggers. Just seconds away from contact, their motionless target moved and a dozen black shadows dashed out of the shadows, "Hehe…"
Hearing the voice of the enemy, Bob felt a chill go down his spine.
The shadows converged and attacked an arrow of light, and in a fierce explosion of light, Freya was blasted out of her illusion and sent hurtling through the air. Bob stood stunned as Freya flew a great distance until Jacquelyn caught her in its mouth, then Bob focused his gaze on the enemy.
They were not weak at all.
