章 4: Twisting fate
"Don't Shoot" she said but the bullet has already left the pistol, fortunately those last were stopped by Nobara's new powers, cursed energy transfer. It is a technic that allows her to transfer more negative energy into an object so that she would manipulate it, under only one condition, the object in question should have been touched or shoot by someone with an important amount of cursed energy.
"How?" one agent asked
"Dude, your life must be tough, for her to be able to do that in one go" Yuji said, after making his tattoos disappear
"In fact, his existence itself should be problematic enough" Dark blue hair guy added
"Watch your mouth you brat, just in case you haven't noticed you are circled"
"Dude I was wondering my powers got triggered" Itadorri said crossing his arms on the back of his head
"Let me ask you this Miss, was every single agent in this room involved in Andrew's mission?"
"Yes, and the man that you have just talked to, was the one delivering the intel from agent Andrew to us"
"Have you ever asked yourself how he was able to avoid every single trap of that building, in addition to escaping the guard stationed outside of it, without forgetting those tiny creatures lurking all around the grass and trees surrounding the faculty?"
"It is called infiltration, as a spy it is part of the basics"
"Even the most trained spy would have never been able to run away from there, the moment Agent Andrew set foot in that Faculty, was the moment he marked the last time he would be seen alive"
"As a matter of fact, the two of you marked the end of your lives as humans that day" Yuji said
That reflection made the grey headed man obviously anxious, cold sweat falling from his forehead to his chin, the sound of his breathing was louder as his heartbeat was increasing, it felt like he was about to explode.
"Everyone back up" Yuji shouted before witnessing another human being transforming into what it seemed like a curse. His two eyes merged to one, his hands and arms became so fat and bulky that it wasn't easy to raise them and finally his legs turned into a strong long tail, that would knock you out with one hit, except for the red headed guy who was able to stop it with the natural strength of his arms.
"How did you do that? I can't even feel an ounce of cursed energy within those arms" the curse shouted with his amplified monstruous voice.
"Oh, just a family heritage" he responded before infusing his left arm with blue cursed energy, that he used to cut his tail off, which led to scream coming from the beast.
That deaf toning sound reminded Sylvia of the terrible memories of her first months as a spy, in a mission to retrieve hostages of some kind of shady experiments that a laboratory in Westellia was developing, to create superhumans, their screams during their transformations were way too similar to be mistaken with any other kind of screams.
"Yuji, don't finish him off, all I need you to do is stabilize him"
"Alright" Yuji declared as he pressed down on his opponent's back, utilizing a distinct energy to immobilize him on the ground.
"Get oof me, get off me"
"But I am off you," he replied nonchalantly, strolling away.
"Then why am I?" "Why do I feel such a heavy mass on top of me, no wait, it is the opposite, I feel like I am being pulled by something under the floor
"You are almost there, Nobara?"
"Before entering this room, I employed my technique to spread negative energy beneath the entire floor. When my colleague stepped on you, he took the time to infuse a part of your organism with positive energy."
"Now if you are not too bad in physics you might guess what is happening to you, but also predict what might happen if you don't keep yourself in check. Got it?"
"I'll tell you everything you want to know; I swear but don't kill me"
"This guy is the complete opposite of that man" Megumi thought while referring to agent Andrew, who would have rather died than becoming a monster that hurts everyone around him.
"Fushiguro, I thought that you got that" Yuji said unbothered with his hands in his pocket
"Oh yeah sorry about that" Fushiguro responded before activating his Domaine expansion
"Domain expansion Shadow Garden"
In a second the room turned into the abysses of hell, nothing could be done to escape it. The room turned into a cave and the floor was filled with a dark looking slime, that disgusting substance turned into little frogs dragging him down into the depth of the abysses.
In a snap of a finger, everybody was out of the domain, everone except for the monster was back into the room.
"What, what did you do with him?" a young blondie asked
"We sealed him in another environment, don't worry he is not dead"
"Give that creature back to us"
"And why on earth would we do that? We were the one who caught it" Yuji said, nagging the agents
"It wasn't a request" the black headed agent said after shooting on them, of course the bullet was stopped right away thanks to Nobara's powers
"You never learn, do you?" Kugisaki responded to the annoyed grumpy shooter
"Since when did I allow anyone to shoot without my orders" she asked in a cold composed tone
"We are sorry about that but…
"The only logical reason that you'll be able to come up with would be that you are not willing to take the necessary risks to interrogate those three am I right?"
Her colleagues couldn't utter a word to convince her otherwise.
"Then if that's the case I'll be the only one conducting the interrogation, you can remain outside" she added
A sentiment of relief and shame spread within their veins, before leaving the room
"Explain yourselves, where did you come from and what is the story behind this monster thing"
"For starters I guess that this agent Andrew of yours told you about the fact that we came from another world"
"And it is the only information that we got beside the fact that you are considered as great soldiers for the enemy's army"
"Soldiers?" Kugisaki asked before sitting back on her chair
"That is just in case the main target never decides to come here"
"Now I got it" Fushiguro whispered
"Did the quiet boy figured out something?" she asked perplexed
"Our master, he is the most powerful wizard of our time, he is also considered as one of the reasons why the balance between the jujutsu world and the world of mortals is still unbroken, but….
