Thaleia interrupted, "That serpent? He was expelled from the House, as you're well aware."

"Maybe she was too—"

"If that's the case," she interjected, "we'll find out, and also why."

"Why not just ask her directly?"

"She would never admit to being a Dragon, let alone—"

Drevolan changed tactics, "Your main interest in this is to find another heir, isn't it?"
