The silence surrounding the living room was deafening. It added to the inexplicable sadness she felt at that very moment. 

She must be happy that Allen will stay away from her soon. However, the beat in her heart says the contrary.

Why does her heart become conflicted? A question she has no answer to yet.

Violet was in a trance again; she didn't notice Randy wheeled over after seeing the sadness in her eyes.

Little did she know Randy was programmed to distinguish someone's emotion. So, it didn't hide from the robot what she felt.

"Mom…" Sounding like a little child, Randy called out to Violet.

Violet, lost in her thoughts, blinks, and stares blankly at nothing in particular. After her consciousness returned, she fixed her gaze on Randy standing at the side, gazing at her sympathetically.
