After Theo had prepared Nikki's breakfast, he went to the balcony and connected a call to someone. He leaned on the railings to face his wife, playing with Randy and the kitten while she enjoyed her fruit salad.
Now that he had fed his wife, her face brightened with joy, which glowered with satisfaction.
"Hello, dad?"
The call finally connected, and a hoarse voice answered. Theo creased his forehead and then asked, "Are you resting? Did I disturb you?"
"Not at all, dad! I'm just trying to get a wink." The person on the other end of the call becomes excited. He queried the older man, "Do you have a word for me?"
"Ah, yes. Regarding my daughter's assassination. I heard that you quickly took care of it. So I wanted to thank you."
On the other line, none other than Allen humbly replied. "Don't mention it, dad. It was my happiness to be useful like this. Violet's safety is my priority too. Our enemies kept eyeing her, so I would not slack off."
