章 37: Impatient

After the night's performance Juri had returned to her room to find Riva waiting to help her get out of the costume. After it came off, she dismissed Riva and decided to take a relaxing soak in the bath.

Delicious steam misted her face as she scrubbed away the last of the glittery makeup from her face. She felt the tension in her muscles fade away as she finally started to relax for what seemed like the first time in ages.

She should have gone to dance school, maybe her life would have taken a different path and she wouldn't have ended up on a cruise ship. She wouldn't know what it meant to be a slave. The worst thing was to have known freedom and have your rights taken away by beings that considered you lesser and beneath them.

It was so soothing in the bathtub that had a mix of peppermint and various oil infusions that were great for her skin. She didn't sink too low because she didn't want to risk getting her hair wet. The last thing she wanted was to catch a cold.
