"Go home? I didn't bring you guys here to take her anywhere" Jason said from behind them, Jessie tilted her head to look at him, the moment his eyes met hers she didn't know why but tears began to fall down her cheeks and a sob escaped her lips, she lifted her plans to her face immediately, blocking her view from the rest of the people there.
As both parents approached their sobbing daughter, Jason's somehow managed to overtake them and before they could say anything he already had Jessie in his arms, wrapping her in a warm hug. "Why do you keep getting hurt? I look away for a minute and somebody is already threatening to kill you?" Jason whispered, rubbing up and down her back in a comforting manner.
Jessie sniffled, looking up at him with her tear-stained face she sighed, "that's why you weren't coming? You went to get my parents?"
