章 155: Flauros(DxD/WC)-5
"Checkmate." I said as I placed my bishop in a position where it could take my opponent's king, which had no other place to go. "You have been getting better though, you're quite a fast learner."
"Thank you for your compliments, lord Rigal." Haku bowed his head as he accepted his defeat. The effeminate boy had asked me to teach him how to play the game after learning the roots of the Evil Piece System and had been getting harder to beat with every game we played.
"My lord, is it truly okay to leave your new piece in her own world? Would it not be simpler to make her live and continue her education here?" He asked with a tilt of his head as he gathered the pieces and set the game again.
"I guess that could be a viable option." I said with a smile before shrugging. "But in the end, it doesn't cost me anything and keeping Daphne happy is a nice bonus; she'll be with us for a very long time after all." I chuckled. "Not to mention letting her keep living in her world does have some upsides."
"What might they be?" Haku asked and I smiled at him as I begun the game by moving my knight.
"Tell me Haku, do you really think that I'm done with other worlds simply by finding a member for my peerage?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, which made him stop for a moment before moving a piece of his own.
"Are you saying you wish more from those worlds, my lord?"
"Exactly." I moved my rook. "Unlike your world and many of the other worlds in my list, Daphne's world is quite a weak one. Their magic system might be interesting, and they do have several spells worthy of notice, but the strongest magic users they have is still only sixth tiers." I said with a chuckle.
Maybe it was because of such a low power ceiling that I was able to reincarnate Daphne with only one pawn. She would still be a worthy investment after her new powers as a devil settle and I give her a template. Her power output would then allow her to take over her little community of wand wavers by herself, even if that wasn't the plan.
"Daphne's family is a noble one with several noteworthy businesses. I want to see how far Daphne can go in making that world truly her's before I start interfering with them."
"And... do you intend to do the same with my world?" Haku asked with his gaze looking down, yet his voice did not seem disapproving. On the contrary, it felt like a part of Haku was hungering for it.
"That's right. The Elemental Nations have certain natural resources that I'm not willing to let go, I will start their subjugation after acclimating enough power." I admitted with no shame. Elemental Nations was a world that was, when looked underneath the Naruto comedy, a complete shit hole and it was all the fault of its denizens. After all, if the greatest revolution of peace they had merely made sure that the average lifespan was over twenty years and followed by three world wars in one century; you were obviously not good at the whole peace thing.
There was no way I was just gonna let the so called canon take its course, I would get everything I could from the Elemental Nations. Having a strong foothold in several different worlds, especially ones with such military mindsets, would be very useful.
"My lord." I was roused from my little trip to my happy place by Haku's voice as the effeminate boy looked at me with a steely expression. "If I can reach the status of a high class devil before that time comes, can I be the one to lead the assault?" He asked and I had to admit, I did not see that one coming.
Sure, I knew that my influence on Haku would end up causing him to be vastly different than the boy who could not kill anyone and end up with a Chidori in heart; but I hadn't expected my influence to be this heavy on him already. It was almost humbling, Inculcation Talent was quite effective.
"That's fine with me." I agreed with a smile and made sure to postpone my invasion of Elemental Nations. It wasn't like I didn't think Haku could become a high class devil, I would give him a year and he likely would be one of the stronger high class devils. The problem was not the strength but the politics, not every devil was truly as strong as their rank would suggest. Most heirs of pillars were mostly middle class in combat ability but were considered to be high class due to being nobles. And there likely were quiet a few devils who had lower ranks due to not being able to take exams.
It probably shouldn't be a problem though, I did have my uncle Ajuka and the power of nepotism on my side after all. The only one who might make a problem, and have the power to back it up, was Sirzechs but if the birthday of Sona Sitri went well; I would get started on getting someone who could deal with his influence on my side.

"He's trying to do what?" Falbium Asmodeus, the Satan of Military Affairs and the single laziest devil in the world, asked with a raised eyebrow as he scratched his bald head; wondering if he heard wrong.
"Sirzechs is trying to find a way to get the Flauros lands from my nephew without having to deal with the other houses raising a fuss, effectively stealing from Rigal in order to make his family happy." Ajuka repeated himself with a sigh. Wondering once more how exactly the mind of the current Lucifer just seemed to work deficiently when it came to his family.
"Huh… I don't really see how that's my problem though." Falbium shrugged. It might sound a bit cruel to say such a thing to his friend, but he just couldn't be bothered to pretend that he cared.
"Just follow my lead whenever I act against Sirzechs when it comes to my nephew and I'll have Falak help you with the border control. That should deal with anyone dumb enough to get close." The current Beelzebub offered with a sigh as he saw Falbium accept. He was lucky that between him and Sirzechs, he was the smart one. That's why he was here making deals with Falbium instead of sitting in his office trying to think of plans while Grayfia nagged him about doing work. Now Rigal just needed to deal with Serafall, which his nephew should be able to do at Sona Sitri's birthday party.
Honestly, the life was easier before he actually cared about others.
