She carefully locked the latch of their wooden door as soon as she came inside their house. Then she pulled down the pieces of clothes that hung over the windows as curtains. 

A sigh escaped her lips as she heard Magnus play with his make-believe rag animal toys. His innocence somehow eased the tightness in her chest.

Smelling soap and water, Aisha immediately went to the back part of the house.

"Why don't you go inside and rest for a minute? I'll take care of the dishes later," she beamed at Rosalia sheepishly. 

Aisha knew that she had some explaining to do.

Rosalia was as alarmed as she was by Lord Lycano's presence. She must probably be worrying about it, too.

As soon as they sat down on the wooden chairs, Aisha quickly told Rosalia every little detail of their conversation.
