章 35: Chapter 35
It's been about thirty minutes since they got here but it feels like thrity hours. Every second was like watching a documentary in monochrome ,so excruciating.
Maybe it's just Yung, because he hates akward silences . Well actually everyone hates those but in Yung situation it's a bit different and a bit more deep-rooted ,since he is here on the park bench with Tzuyu.
These two went to the same high school and Kim TaeHyung was beyond obsessed with Tzuyu. He would buy her all kinds of flowers, write her weird yet slightly affectionate letters and offer to buy her lunch everyday. All the things someone struck by cupid s arrow would do he did to the most of his capability. If only he could paint maybe Tzuyu would have a gallery in her honour. He went all out in his care.
Anyway he would occusionally tell her she is the best ,she smells the greatest but of all the compliments he gave her none of them were a direct way of saying ' my heart is colonized by your existence'. He literally never confessed so technically he can't say he had been rejected yet. Tzuyu was one of the beautiful girls at school and Yung was just a bookworm and when has that combination been a fruitful one?
Withal the bitterness comes when beautiful Tzuyu thinks of Yung as just one of her many over the admirer , just envious people, nothing more .It's one thing to not see someone s affection but it's a whole other thing to consider their affection as having a senseless feeling motivated by miniscule bias
And to rub salt on bare wounds, Tzuyu had a sweet crush on Park SeongHwa. She would talk endlessly about his beauty, smile, body, interests. The subject of all their conversation was SeongHwa this, SeongHwa that. And that just made Yung feel incredibly horrid and it's not difficult to see why. How can she possibly go to the point of not being able to see his affection to wind up thinking of someone else. He felt bad and everyday with her was getting to the point of feeling like he was carrying the earth on his chest.
Almost every night, his pillow was so used to the avalanche of his tears because he would cry whenever he thinks about this and he would not stop crying until he fell asleep.
He thought that he could change himself so that she likes him but then he would also become someone else. And even then she would like Yung for being SeongHwa and what's the point if what she sees in Yung is someone Yung is not. So because there was nothing he could do ,he decided since he truly cares , he would want her to be happy even if it's with someone else.
That fact, that undeniable truth that she is fested into someone else , it felt horrible , so horrible that Yung was growing really bad eyebags. He would see her in his dreams while in real life she is busy having dreams about someone else. During the day his mind was dominated by her but seeing her would just remind him that she doesn't care about Yung at all nor does he recognize how much he really cares . And because of this , it started to get akward between them.
Worst of all , it seemed like Tzuyu had been wanting to break free from Yung because when Yung became distant, she never once asked what was the matter. She probably didn't even notice his distancing himself. And how many times Yung hoped that she was just pretending to not notice. When his heart said that, his head asked why does it bother with wishful thinking. Those who pretend are those who can't confess and what's stopping Tzuyu from confessing if she feels the same way.All existing matter knows Yung would accept her with open arms and on bended knees
The whole of high school didnt seem to want to end but when it finally did , Tzuyu told Yung that she is going to confess to SeongHwa. TaeHyung felt like he was falling into a volcano and was sure that if he stays any longer something might happen and he doesn't want to think what that could be. That's why he packed his bags and moved to Japan
He is not going to lie .The entire time he was in Japan,he wondered whether Tzuyu was missing him too or it's just him. He wondered if SeongHwa is making Tzuyu happy and if she trully forgot about Yung .
She didn't come to the airport to say goodbye and she never once called TaeHyung .for all that could happen, the plane could crash but she never even bothered. At first TaeHyung thought she felt the distance but if she did why didn't she say anything.
Anyway at this point he feels a little indifferent to her,maybe the feelings have died but those things are never turlly gone, they are just on snooze.
Plus he doesn't even remember SeongHwa s face clearly ,it's been a year.he could have grown,he could have scars and tattoos. be that the case he would never forget SeongHwa s name. So the absence of face that envokes jealouy does help. To think that there was a time he thought of searching about him but he just forgoed that.
Be that the case,TaeHyung had seen her at school looking so miserable and he invited her to the restaurant near school. Surprisingly she didn't refuse.When they got there, she refused to eat and didn't give a reason why. Yung thought if he studies there for a while with her she will eventually feel better but she just feel asleep. Three hours later when she woke up her eyes were wet with tears and so he thought it best for them to take a walk to the park.
Looking at how much she spaced means Tzuyu must really like that guy or really that guy must one of a kind to be liked by someone that Yung thought was Heaven s personified form.
Maybe he looks better than SeongHwa. Wait what does SeongHwa look like?
Anyway she was just staring at the lake and she was so pale and drained. A sign that she had been crying her heart is torn to the ligaments. Even though at this point even though they are not saying anything,there is a great possibility that her mind is chanting verses.
TaeHyung feels like if he says something,she might explode into tears. She does look like she is on the brick of tears
Of course at this moment it seems like the only reason they met is because of that video, otherwise both of them would have probably graduated without ever meeting once. And if Tzuyu is going to keep talking about other people when she is with Yung, then Yung wouldn't mind if they seldom meet.He can't move to Japan again!
As he was busy wondering whether to or say something, a tear fell from her eye and down her cheek.
Yung looked at it and as he did that Tzuyu s face changed form and she started to shed more tears..
She sobbed so much and as much as Yung doesn't want to wake his feelings towards her, he can't simply just ignore her when she is so vulnerable.
He moved closer to her and she laid her head on his chest. That was not his intention but maybe it will make her feel better about herself so that's fine
She laid there and she cried so much more. Yung patted her head so awkwardly but it was flawless so the akwardness was slightly cloaked
He wants to tell her to stop crying and say cool metaphor at the end but it's too soon for that.For now it's just practical to let her cry for a while.

" Do we still have to install that camera?", Jung asked Doyoung who was sitting on the counter chewing on marshmallows
They were San s kitchen but San was not home yet.Its just the two of them for now.
Jung was cooking dinner and baking a lot of things because for the past few days everyone has been coming here and they have finished all the cooked food.all that is left is cereal .
Doyoung was using his tablet and he was reading an article on it.Probably something school related .
He likes to sit on the counter while Jung us cooking for some reason and it seems like Jung prefers it if he stays a little far way from the edible ingredients like fruits.
" Of course", Doyoung responded whilst eating the marshmallows. He was partly listening and partly reading.Divided attention,a great skill to have!
Anyway the reason why he is studying so much is because next week is mock exam or test,just the pre test before the test. So it's important to pass it because it is usually harder than the exam as it is the placement for the exam.
" But what could be left to know for having the camera in that room?", Jung looked to DoYoung . He placed the knife back down in the chopping board and he went over to DoYoung and he pulled away the bowl of marshmallows. That action made Doyoung award Jung with a hundred percent of his attention. He tilted his head a little before talking
" Apparently there is something that needs to be filmed. But since the last episode of the network, SanHa can't just go into the school cameras. So he needs to make sure it's clean using a scan programme. After that it's only when he can hack. But if that fails , it's fine because the small camera will have back accessed the system remotely and recorded everything. The point of scanning while also trying to hack is that it's possible that the new network detects an extension but that's unlikely.still it's safer to take caution so that he disconnects if he feels watched", he explained.
Jung just felt that made a lot of sense and he nodded a little.
" Give me back the sweets", he commanded while Jung was nodding but Jung refused with the sweets .
" I don't want you eating this", he answered walking away
"Why? ...Are you jealous that I am enjoying what you didn't make? ", he mocked Jung. That question made Jung annoyed and he almost slammed the dish on the floor
