章 54: Meal

I sat on the dining table together with my husband and son. "How's school, son?" I asked smiling. He did not answer but that did not stop me from talking. "The bills had been sent earlier. I'm going to the city tomorrow to process them. " I turned to my husband. He didn't answer either. I guess they're still mad at me for not waking up early this morning. "Look, I'm sorry guys, okay? I was just really tired yesterday that's why I couldn't make your breakfast. I promised to take care of it tomorrow." still no response. I went to the back of my husband's chair, he did not bother moving. I hugged him from behind and noticed that he haven't touched my food. "Okay if you do not like the food you can just tell me, you know? I'll cook whatever you like." still not responding. I walked out and went upstairs to sleep. I can't believe they'll ignore me like that, just because I couldn't wake up early. I lie down and fell asleep right away. In my dreams I saw my husband and son, waving at me. I called upon them and I saw their lips move as if saying something I couldn't hear. "Mom, please let us go." I heard my son said. I woke up, feeling distress. I went down to see my husband's and son's corpse in the table. Just as how I put them. The crash wasn't my fault. But if I only came with them that morning, I would have died with them. I wish I did.
