章 2: What Do You Think About S*X?
It became common for Damian to see her around after that day. Every now and then, he would see her sneaking around the school building or just waiting for him around the corner of his house. She never came close to his house. They weren't that close yet. Damian would take her out to buy ice cream after school, and whenever she waited around his house he would take her out to eat.
She never wore a school uniform and she also wasn't around any adults. It was almost like she was some sort of street urchin that he picked up accidentally. She hit him on the head when he told her that.
"What do you think about sex?"
Lucy was the one that asked him this one day and Damian almost spat out his ice cream. She seemed so calm about it, but Damina could see how a small blush crept up her cheek when she saw his incredulous face. She was quite something, wasn't she!?
Damina finally sighed as he cleaned his mouth of the small ice cream on it and answered.
"I don't know. I've never really thought about having sex before. Maybe it's fun. All the videos I've seen show that it's fun so I don't know. Although, if you ask me, I don't think there's anything in the world that is only fun. It seems shady that there's nothing bad about it,"
Lucy suddenly nodded eagerly! Damian thought she looked like a puppy!
"Yeah yeah! I know, right! I've always seen some people talking about itnand they never say anything bad about it! I always feel like they're just trying to cover it up! If you ask me, the more awesome thing is smoking. I think it looks badass!! But sex has to be overrated! It can't possibly be that good!"
Damina shrugged. It was right though. How can sex be only good? Does every single person think it's good? Then won't it just be dull after a while? If you only take one thing over and over again and it is always sweet then it will definitely get bland. At least, that was what Damian thought.
"Do you want to try?"
Damian threw ice cream on her face once she said this and Lucy shrieked as the cold made her skin shiver!!
"Shut up, you idiot,"
This was the third time he went out with her. An exasperated boy, and a shrieking girl.
....
The times they spent together started to become more and more frequent over time and Damian was now finding himself looking out for her. He would look around the corner before passing to see if she was waiting for him and he would look out the window of his class every now and then to see if she was still standing by the gate.
Sometimes, she was, other times, she wasn't. He didn't like the latter anymore.
"You should have just told me that you had a girlfriend,"
Damian was suddenly cornered one day by the girl that asked him out before. She was standing in front of his chair and had her arms crossed as she looked down at him. Damian only arranged the books he was taking to the next class as he told her.
"I don't have a girlfriend,"
"Yes, you do. I've seen you around that blonde girl before. She doesn't go to our school. What school is she from?"
Damian didn't know what she was trying to do. Does she want to be friends with him or something? After she brought her brother to beat him up before? She had to be joking? There is a limit to how self-centered someone can be and this girl was at the pinnacle of that limit!
"Look, I don't know what you're talking about and I don't care what you think. I don't like you and I don't want to have you around me. So please, leave me alone,"
The girl was absolutely shocked as Damian said this, she tried to talk to him again but Damina already packed up and left the class. After school that day, Lucy wasn't there.
....
"Let's go to the festival together,"
Lucy was sitting with Damian and licking some ice cream when Damian suddenly said this to her. She paused her hand halfway to her mouth and blinked at him. What did he say?
"I said let's go to the festival together. The guy that brings me some food from the government said that there is a festival coming up tomorrow. He gave me two tickets. I don't have anyone else to ask so I thought I'd ask you,"
Lucy didn't know if she should be happy that he asked her or if she should laugh at the fact that he just said he didn't have any friends! It was funny that he didn't even feel any shame in it at all! What sort of introvert is he!?
She settled on laughing and he threw ice cream on her again. Obviously. She said yes.
They both wore yukata to the festival. Damian in red and Lucy in black. They looked brilliant with their black and blonde hair clashing. It was something that Lucy would remember for the rest of her life.
Damian tried his best to follow Lucy as she dragged him everywhere! She was like a hurricane that wanted to do everything! He won a toy for her when she asked him to and then she pulled him to the goldfish game! He was pulled around so much that some of the vendors now knew him just by his tired expression wherever they saw him! They all thought his girlfriend was cute.
She wasn't his girlfriend.
"Hey, look, there's a kissing contest! Let's go!!"
Damian's eyes bulged when she said this suddenly! Why in the world will she want to go there!? He doesn't even like it when he sees other people kiss, and now she wants him to kiss her in front of other people!?
"Lucy. No,"
"What!? But the prize is a free ticket to the ice cream parlor! It'll be fun!"
"Lucy..."
Damian's voice was hard this time and Lucy realized that he wasn't joking anymore! He was actually serious about this! She nodded solemnly and then allowed him to pull her away from the contest. They didn't talk a lot after that, but when the announcement of the fireworks arrived they both looked up eagerly!
Damian looked to the side and he saw how Lucy's eyes were wide in awe as she waited for the fireworks. He closed his eyes and sighed as he grabbed her hand and told her to follow him. He knew a place on the hills where they would be able to see the fireworks better. They both walked for a few minutes before they got to the top of the hill. Thankfully, the fireworks started a minute before they got there.
Lucy couldn't stop herself from exclaiming in awe when she saw the fireworks. She couldn't believe how close they were! It was like she could reach out and touch them!! A hand suddenly touched her own and turned her towards the side and Lucy was confused as she turned to look at Damian.
Damian didn't say a thing. He just leaned down and kissed her.
Explosions! There were explosions inside her head! Everything outside was empty and dull and nothing was disturbing her in her little world. She just closed her eyes and leaned against him as they kissed.
After a while, Damina pulled back with a small blush as he spoke.
"I don't really like PDA. But I don't mind kissing you,"
Lucy couldn't stop herself from grinning as she laughed at him! He was such a dork!
And that was the fourth time they met. A shy boy, and a girl in love.
