Alpha Zero Blackwood-Masters was already up before the six o'clock alarm he set the day before went off. He looked around and his bed was empty just the way he wanted it. By now, Nelly or Elise or whatever was the name of the girl he picked up at the runway show last night was halfway across the world on one of his severance luxurious trips he has his P.A send his one night stand to, so they don't demand a relationship from him. 

He was far from being emotionally ready for something remotely serious. He was married to the love of his life for eighteen years and he was very sure that that kind of love doesn't find a man twice in a lifetime.

 All contact with a woman was purely physical for him.

Zero knew everyone was expecting him to marry again and provide the pack with a new Luna but for some reason he would rather fight a thousand bulls than try to replace his dead mate.
