章 24: A Visit Final Part

We got to the tavern in just a couple of minutes, apparently Caulifla already knew that Renso will go there to meet her.

"So, what're we gonna do?", I asked.

"Nothing, we wouldn't tell him anything about what we plan or did, all he will get from this meeting is the improvements we made to this town", Caulifla said.

Me and Kale nodded as we finally made our way to the tavern, Renso still haven't arrived yet so we waited for him.

After a couple of minutes he finally arrived, he wore the typical Sadala forces outfit, around him were a couple of our soldiers surrounding him.

Renso smiled as he saw Caulifla, he looked towards Kale, though his smile dropped when he reached me, as we never met before.

"Caulifla", Renso said, "I saw the changes around town, your work I presume?".

She only scoffed, "We both know this isn't the reason you came here for".

Renso sighed, "Caulifla, can't I even talk with you for a little while, we're family".

Caulifla didn't even replied back, she only looked at the man with a blank, emotionless face.

Renso sighed once again, taking a sit in front of us, at the table the three of us sat.

"You know why I came here, why did you killed those people Caulifla?". Renso said, having a serious look on his face.

"I killed those people because they were harming my town and others as well, besides, I know that you send them to have your eye on me". She said.

"This is not an excuse for killing all of them Caulifla", he looked at her with a disappointed look.

"I don't care what you think Renso, they harmed my town so I took them down".

"Still, its wron~, before Renso finished saying anything else I cut him off.

"The fact that you care more about them then your sister, and the town you grew up in shows a lot about you don't you think". I said.

I didn't really want to interrupt Caulifla, as I know she can handle herself, but this guy was hella annoying I couldn't even take it anymore.

Renso looked at me with an unreadable look, "And you are?", he ask.

I only gave him a grin, turning towards Caulifla, I took her by the face with my hand and kissed her on the lips.

There was complete selience in the tavern, our soldiers might have suspected us being in a relationship already, but they never actually saw us kissing or anything.

I separated from Caulifla after a couple of seconds, she gave me a small smile as that calmed her down immensely, I turned towards Renso who had a shocked look on his face.

"Does that answer your question?", I asked him with a smirk.

Renso looked at Caulifla, still having his shock look on his face, "You have a mate!?".

"Why Does that matter to you?, you only care about your soldiers, that's why you came here for right?". Caulifla said.

"I'll say it again, I killed them because they stole from poor defenseless people, they stole from me and other towns, they were horrible people that looked at us as nothing but dirt, Ill gladly kill them all over again if I could". She said.

"I know that it's hard for you, because you now have no one that can have an eye on me, because you're not even bothering to come here yourself and check".

Renso sighed again, getting over his shock. "You know how busy I am Caulifla, but a mate is a completely different matter, you're still youn~.

Before he could even finish his sentence Caulifla stopped him.

"Renso, I don't want to talk about my love life, especially not with you, you don't get say in it, so I advise you to stop wasting both of our time".

Renso stopped, talking a deep breath he got back to the topic he came here for.

"Caulifla, I can't control my superiors decision, they could see you as a threat and send an even bigger squad to take you down!'.

"Let them".

Renso sighed, he seems to do that a lot around here.

"I only tried to keep an eye on you Caulifla, I took this area for patrol specifically for that reason".

"This conversation is getting nowhere Renso, I already told you my reasons, you can leave now".

The man nodded, he got up from his sit.

"I warned you Caulifla, I don't know what my superiors will decide, I only tried to keep an eye on you".

"I DON'T need you to keep an eye on me Renso, I can take care of myself very well, besides, if you really cared about me you would've done a lot more than that".

Renso shook his head, turning his eyes on me once again, he narrowed them, "This isn't the last time we'll met Caulifla, I still don't approve of this mate of yours".

"I never asked for your approval Renso", she said.

I didn't even needed to answer him back, me, Caulifla and kale know already that we're into each other, no one can change that fact, especially Renso.

He turned back to leave, but before he got out he said, "This isn't the last you'll see me". He left soon after.

There was selience as all of the other soldiers left to see Renso is out for good, "So.. ".

Before I could say anything Kale kissed me on the lips, we separated after a couple of seconds as well.

Kale had a pout on her face, "You kiss Caulifla for the first time but not me?".

I chuckled a little, "Sorry Kale, I guess I really wanted to show Renso and that was the first thing that came to my head". I turned to Caulifla and she had a grin on her face.

"Come on let's go to our date now!", She said as she grabbed both of our hands.

'Yea, life's pretty good', I thought.

Sorry for the late chapter, I really didn't have much to write this chapter so cuz of that it's shorter. If there's any spelling mistake, pls point them out for me!.

Ig I'm kinda bored with how the story is going, I rlly want to finish vol 1 already, cuz the sweet stuff happen after that, that's kinda the reason why I decided to have them kiss this chapter, so u can see where their relationship is currently and not taking it slow af.

There wouldn't be any segges until vol 2 so don't ask about that for now, and as I said, after the towns take over we'll go to our gang vs Sadala. After that we'll go straight for volume 2, I plan on MC being 15 in Vol 2, so there'll probably be a small time skip idk.

I think about calling our town Cauliflower, I decided to name them after vegetables, and Cauliflower is for Caulifla.. What do you think?
