章 14: CEREMONY
As we pulled into the long driveway, I could see in the distance a little community surrounding mansion. I gasped as we entered the area. The houses were beautiful and the mansion was even bigger up close.
"You like it?" Xander asked. I nodded enthusiastically and he chuckled.
"Glad to hear it." He said as he pulled up to a clearing next to the mansion. It was decorated beautifully with fairy lights and picnic tables covered with food. The area was already filling up with guests as we got out of the car.
"Your property is beautiful." I said in awe.
"It's our now love." He said and grinned when my eyes widened in shock.
"It is?"
"Yes. The Luna is like the female Alpha. We rule together.
And that means pretty much everything you see, we own. Along with a few companies and restaurants." He grabbed my hand and started leading me to a couple standing near the house, talking to a few people.
"Mom, Dad." Xander said, the couple turned around and smiled.
"Hey sweetie." His mom said and looked at me. "Is this her?"
"Yes Mom. This is Angel, my mate." He said and put his arm around my waist, causing sparks to flow through my body.
"Hello ma'am. It's nice to meet you." I said as i put out my hand to shake. She rolled her eyes and pulled me into a tight hug.
"Call me Lisa honey. It's so nice to finally meet you." She pulled back and smiled at me.
"And you can call me Darren." His dad said and then hugged me briefly. I smiled and nodded at them.
"It's nice to meet you." Xander put his arm back around me and squeezed.
"Come on love. It's time." I nodded and wiped my palms on my pants nervously. I watched as Darren walked up on the little stage next to the house and cleared his throat. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him.
"As you know, my son found his mate.." cheers erupted in the crowd and I smiled. Xander pulled me slightly and we started walking up to stand next to his father.
" This is Angel. My mate and your new Luna." I stood up straight and smiled widely. I stepped forward and addressed the crowd.
"I may not know much about being Luna yet, but I can promise I will do my best to be there for the pack and help in any way I can. Don't be afraid to talk to me like a friend. Because I will be." Cheers erupted once again and I looked over to see Xander grinning widely.
"I hope everyone has a wonderful evening." Xander said and we walked off the stage as everyone went back to what they were doing.
" Seems like they approve." Xander said as he pulled me towards the mansion. "Now that they have met you, I'd like to spend some time with you if you don't mind of course."
"Not at all." IAs soon as he opened the door my eyes widened. The entryway was modern, with black carpet and beautiful marble accents. There were two sets of stairs, one on both sides of area.
"Do you like it?" He asked and chuckled when he saw my expression.
'HOLY SHIT! OUR MAN IS LOADED!' Sadie commented and I nodded.
"Yeah. Wow." He laughed again and started pulling me towards the stairs.
"Come on. I wanna get into something more comfortable." I nodded and followed behind him, looking at everything as we went.
We walked down a hall, stopping at a door at the end, and opened it. I looked at the large room in awe.
Like the rest of the house, the room was very modern, with large windows and black carpet. There were blackout curtains covering the windows and a king size bed sitting in the corner. There was a soft leather couch facing a large flat screen tv on the other end of the room and a mini fridge sitting in the corner. There were two doors in the room. One next to the bed and one on the other side of the room.
"I love your room. It's big but cozy." I smiled at him as I walked in and looked around.
"Well it's our room now." He said and my head turned in his direction.
"What do you mean?" I looked at him in confusion..
"Oh. Well, when a wolf meets their mate, they usually move in with them. Most of the time, the female is the one who moves. But I won't make you if you're not comfortable with it." I looked down.
Are you guys okay with that?
'HELL YEAH I AM!' Jezebelle said.
'I'D LIKE IT VERY MUCH' Arella added.
'YESSSSSSS!!' Sadie Yelled. Making me wince slightly.
"....Angel?" I looked up to see Xander looking at me with a worried expression. I smiled.
"Yes…"
