"The final match will be Zaya and Elena against Carmen and Lily," the announcer declared, his voice booming over the crowd and eliciting a mix of cheers and gasps.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as Carmen and I locked eyes across the sandy court. Her gaze was intense, a mix of determination and something deeper, more personal. I took a deep breath and reminded myself to stay focused. This was just a game, and I had Zaya by my side. Well we can beat them and it's not going to be easy.

"Ready, Elena?" Zaya asked, her voice steady and reassuring. 

"Ready," I replied, trying to match her confidence.
