章 2: 002 - The Beta Testers Part One
Within a small plain bunk room sat a man on a bed.
Around the man were multiple other bunk beds with men sleeping in them.
Each of the men looked to be someone trained in the military and on the wall was a weird circular symbol that had the words "Should intermittent vengeance arm again his red right hand to plague us?"
It was the motto of an organization known as the Chaos Insurgency, a group of highly trained soldiers who fight against the SCP Foundation due to the latter's "lies".
They believe that humanity should be the masters of everything, use SCP's against the Foundation and for their own goals, and upon raiding an SCP facility they will capture all SCPs kill all MTF and Scientists, and Recsuce/Recruit all D-Class personnel.
I am in fact a Delta-Ranked Soldier of the Chaos Insurgency, I even used to be a D-Class imprisoned by the SCP Foundation, my name is Michael Biggs.
[A/N: Delta Rank is the third rank to be achieved through the application. They hold more authority in C.I. and have a certain amount of knowledge on C.I's ITEM using policies. They are generally more experienced personnel in C.I. and often middle or low ranking personnel in departments]
The department I am in hasn't seen any action for a few months and I have been stuck at the base with my squad training every day in hopes that we get to see some action.
Anyway, It's getting late, I am going to hit the hay, I need to wake up early tomorrow for training.
I laid down on my bed and covered myself with a blanket before shutting my eyes.
Suddenly I found myself floating in an empty void surrounded by darkness.
"Is this a nightmare?" I asked myself before a weird screen appeared before me.

"Huh? Not a dream and that saying yes could change my life for better or for worse?" I asked myself skeptical of the message.
"Must be some kind of joke my subconscious is making," I laughed out loud before clicking accepting the invitation.
Suddenly I found that my position shifted from the empty void to a room of white.

I found hundreds of options before me that would allow me to change my eye color, skin color, hair color and so much more, but I just clicked finish and kept my real look.

[Your Options are: Warrior, Ranger, Rogue, Mage, and Cleric, please note that you can get a class change quest in the future]
[Warrior(Common) - A Class based on Melee Combat and Battle, main weapons are melee weapons with the option of a shield]
[Ranger(Common) - A Class based on hunting, tracking, and fighting from a distance, main weapons are the Bow and Arrow]
[Rouge(Common) - A Class based on fighting from the shadows and stealthfully killing your target, main weapons are two daggers or a shortsword]
[Mage(Common) - A Class based on fighting against your enemies with magic, a Mage's main weapon is a staff]
[Priest(Common) - A Class based on fighting with Divine Energy to bless your allies and curse your enemies, the Priest's main weapon is a staff]
A Mage? Like in those fictional stories where men could summon Lightning, Fire, Water, and even manipulate the very earth we stand upon?
Without a second hesitation, I clicked the class in curiosity and before my eyes, a screen with a video on it was playing.
Before my eyes, I saw an old man with a long white beard in hooded robes standing in the middle of a forest.
I watched as the man suddenly tapped his staff on the ground and a massive ball of fire appeared in front of the man.
The man pointed his finger towards the forest before launching the fireball at a fast speed.
But just before the fireball could hit the forest he manipulated the wind around him to levitate himself above the now burning Forrest.
Suddenly he waved his hand once again and rain clouds gathered putting out the fire before dissipating.
Next, he waved his arm once again and the once flat land started rising, and before I knew it mountains formed.
Next, the video seemed to reset and the Old Man in robes once again appeared in the middle of the forest but this time dozens of men in armor holding swords appeared, surrounding him.
The men suddenly charged at the Old Man wanting to kill him, but before they could take even a few steps forward the man pointed his finger and muttered "Earth Magic, Vine Trap"
Vines suddenly rushed out of the ground and entangled the men where they stood.
They started struggling to free themselves but before they could the Old Man once again muttered "Earth Magic, Vampiric Vine"
Suddenly the vines that trapped the men glowed with a sinister red before long, sharp thorns grew on the vines and pierced the men's bodies.
The men screamed out in pain as the vines greedily drank the men's blood.
Suddenly the Old Man started glowing in the sinister red as well as the Health of the men was absorbed by the Old Man.
Before a minute even passed dried husks of the once-living men fell to the ground and the vines returned back to the ground.
I stood there in shock as I watched this scene.
