"Why are you panting for goodness sake?" Jakayla spat bitterly as I burst into the nearest building, nestled beside my quarters, following my return from the forest. The Nosferatu had crumpled to the ground, overcome by the choking from the invisible force, and I seized the moment to locate someone more composed, someone with more control of their strength.

The newfound ability I had unlocked from my rage was nothing more than a fleeting stroke of luck; there was no room for arrogance.

I had yet to learn more about my abilities. 

I had taken refuge in what I suspected was Jakayla's home, and she emerged just as I collided with her, her eyes widening with surprise. It had been a while since I'd seen her, and her dreary presence took me aback.
