章 13: I must do it
" I know I have to eat only healthy stuff but why are you guys eating that in front of me, Do you have no shame?" Ben complained about the food, his uncle had made good food for Yelena and Conan while Salad, boiled veggies and a green juice for Ben.
" Yuk! it tastes so bad." Ben was about to spit the juice but before he could do that, his uncle who was serving food grabbed his hair and pulled his head backwards making him gulp whatever was in his mouth. " Do not waste food."
" Delicious! How did I not know about this place before?" Yelena ate the desert after finishing the meat on her plate quickly.
Conan had also finished everything, both of them didn't take long to finish their food.
" You guys are eating too fast, calm down and tell me if you want more." Ben's uncle asked.
" As a traveller, we don't waste our time too much on eating food," Conan explained.
" Same, We also had to be always on guard so during the training we were told to finish food as fast as we can." Yelena said, " Besides, it's too tasty."
Ben's uncle rubbed his nose after receiving the compliment.
" You can have more, help yourself." He put more food in front of them.
" Thank you very much!" She said and started to eat the pasta he just served.
Ben wasn't even looking at them and was slowly eating his food, Besides he needed to eat something as he had only eaten some fruits and drank energy drinks during the daytime.
' I must do it, I must do it.' Ben was gobbling his food silently while others were talking. Conan looked toward Ben and a slight smile appeared on his face seeing the determination Ben had.

" Jeez, how far do you even live?" Conan complained after driving for almost an hour. Yelena was sitting on the back of his bike.
" Not too long, we are just about to reach there, turn left, this is the shortcut."
" It better be, because I have to go back in the opposite direction after this."
" You nag too much, you should learn from Ben how to be nice," Yelena said. " May I ask something, Conan?"
" No! I prefer you to be silent."
" I thought we became good friends today." She punched his back.
" It's about Ben, Why is he trying so hard?" She asked.
" We don't need to know."
" You are not a very good friend, I think Ben is a nice guy but he is also adventurous however not that kind of adventurous where he would leave a haven where he does not need to worry about anything."
" It's about his father, today in the morning when I went to talk to his uncle about not giving him anything unhealthy to eat. I also asked him the reason why Ben is serious about becoming a traveller. He didn't tell me much but he said that it was because he wants to find his father." Conan answered.
" Ben's father, I can help him with it, I guess," Yelena said.
" Really!" Conan was surprised to hear this.
" Yes, I know someone who can get this information for me, I will just have to contact them."
" That is great, thank you."
" Well, I am not doing it for free, give me your bike in return for this." She offered.
" Fine, I will give you my bike," Conan answered without any hesitation.
" I see, I take back my words, you are truly a good friend. You didn't even hesitate or think long about it." Yelena chuckled, ' Now, what should I do? I thought he would say no, and I would just give him the information to get on his good side. This way it feels like a deal, I have to think of some other way to make him agree to be an ally.' She thought.
" I will give this bike to you, but after you get some important information for Ben about his father." Conan made things clear, there is no benefit in giving her something in return for insignificant information.

Yelena reached her apartment, and then took out a disk that had a flat green surface over it. She tapped the surface and a hologram appeared in the space. She put that disk on her table, the projection was showing different options, one of them was about contacting someone.
She selected that option and could see that the hologram showed her the call being connected. After a little wait, the person she contacted picked up the call and a green projection of that person appeared in front of her face.
" Hey, What's up? You know Dino and I were just talking about you." Maya answered the call.
" Dino is with you." She asked.
" Yes, but I have just come out of his room. Do you want to talk to him?" Maya asked.
" No, I need your help with something," Yelena said.
" Yes, what is it?"
" Can you please find something about Mike Lupin? He was the resident of City-R." Yelena asked but didn't expect a shocked reaction from Maya. Yelena knew the name of his father from the reports that guards had collected about him.
" Lupin! How do you know about Mike Lupin?"
" Good it seems you know something so I won't have to wait." Yelena was glad that Lucia already knew something but she had a bad feeling because of how Maya reacted.
" Yes, I know about him. It's not public yet, but three years ago Lupin allied himself with the Hunter faction. He had not made any public appearance since then, Lupin was one of the scientists working on the parasite weapon project so I know about him."
" So you do not have any idea where he currently might be?"
" No, I don't, hunter faction is an independent organisation," Maya answered and then asked, " Why are you looking for him?"
" His son Ben is one of my friends, I just wanted to help him since his father was missing."
" Wait, Mike Lupin had a son."
