…
Hiro grabs his pouch bag as the kids around muttered and whispered. Worrying that others would rush over, he quickly grabs his pouch bag and keeps it in his pocket. The person who had rushed him from behind, stood up and glared at him. Not expecting Hiro to dodge he had also fell to the ground.
"When the young master is talking to you…"
"Step aside, Gilb," thirty four's voice sounded. He had walked over, and was looking at Hiro. "You! What family are you from?"
"Hmph," Hiro snorts and turns to the pills on the ground.
"The young master is talking…"
"Gilb!" thirty four calls out while looking at Hiro, who was staring at the pills on the ground.
"There are nearly eighty pills on the ground. For it to pour out from his bag like that, then that bag must be filled with pills. No matter what size the bag's space is, there must be at least five hundred pills in it. No, at least eight hundred pills and that's the bare minimum. A first class family like mine won't waste money like that, they will rather waste it on better pills. The only family with the leverage to do that is an ancestor class family. I'm in trouble,"
Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead and rolled down his face as he thought.
Hiro continues to stare at the pills on the ground. His breathing was slowly increasing, his eyes were twitching and his skin was crawling.
"I want to apologize for Gilb's action. He shouldn't have attacked. I only wanted a challenge to retrieve my servants honor. So once again I will challenge you,"
Hiro could hear him speak, but the words flew through his ear like wind flowing through a pipe. He didn't comprehend what he was told. His blood temperature had risen and Hiro was about to burst out in rage.
"Thirty four, thirty five, thirty six, thirty seven and thirty eight come over," a voice called out. It had come from the entrance of the building close by.
Hiro turns his head to the voice before struggling up and walking to the pills. He takes out another pouch bag and bends down to the pills.
"Gilb, go help him pick them up,"
"Yes young master,"
Gilb walks toward Hiro and thirty four points to two others. "You and you help him out,"
The two nods and walks up to Hiro. When they got to Hiro, they bent down to pick the pills. Almost immediately, Hiro stands to his feet and walks away.
"Everyone can have the rest," he mutters without looking.
He kept walking, trying hard not to leap, and didn't turn back to see the chaos he had started.

~Location Unknown~
"What's that boy's name?"
"Hiro sir, Enji Hiro,"
"I haven't heard of any family called Enji,"
"Neither have I, sir,"
"If he passes the test place him in the south region,"
"Sir, wouldn't the north region be better for him,"
"The old ancestor said no special treatment. Besides with that amount of pills in hand, I'm sure he has the resources to take care of himself. The south region will be a good place for him to grow,"
"Yes sir,"
"By the way, get someone to find out his realm. He easily took care of a third stage, even though he wounded himself pretty bad, it is worth noting,"
"Yes sir,"
…
After entering the building, Hiro was greeted by five short pillars. They were about four feet high and sitting on each of them were white orb.
He wasn't the only one in here. To his right, in front of a pillar was a girl. Standing at the other end opposite the entrance and watching them, was a young man. He looked like he was in his twenties. And stepping in behind him were three others. A girl and two boys, of which thirty four was included.
Other than that the room was empty and as plain as ever. It was small and was completely painted white.
"Ahem," the man cleared his throat. "We will begin the test. All you have to do is place your hand on one of the crystal orbs and remain still until I tell you otherwise,"
The five of them nods to the man's words before walking up to a crystal orb. They placed their hands on the crystal orb and remained still just as the man had instructed. Almost immediately, the crystal orb of the girl, who had arrived first, shone a bright green. The crystal orb of a boy next to her, shone a bright yellow. Thirty four's orb shone bright green too. Hiro's orb shone yellow with a tiny hint of green and the last person, a girl had her orb shone a bright blue.
"You may take back your hand now," the man said with a smile. His gaze was on the girl, who got a blue light. One could clearly see the sparkles in them. He wasn't the only one though. Thirty four and the two others stared at her with eyes wide open. Hiro was sure he heard the boy click his tongue and sigh.
The wall behind the man glides and opened up to another hall. "Come with me," the man instructed and led the way.
The five of them quickly followed him. They entered the room that wasn't much different from the last. The only thing amiss was the presence of a huge stone pillar and the absence of the five short pillars in the last. The stone pillar stood at the center of the hall, joining the ceiling and the floor together.
"Place your hand on the pillar,"
Hiro bit his lower lip and turned to his leg. It was still hurting. The others walked passed him and took a spot around the pillar. After looking at it for a while, Hiro walks up to the pillar. He placed his hand on it and immediately, his forehead wrinkled.
"Huh?"
Everyone around him had disappeared and he was the only one in the room. "Was this part of the test?" he thought as he looked around.
~Ssisss~
A hissing sound draws Hiro's attention to one end of the room. What greeted him was a 7ft long snake with forelimbs.
~Ssisss~
Hiro subconsciously takes a step back as the snake hissed again. "Huh?" He feels something strange and turns to his feet…
"How come?"
Only to find water was filling the room. He didn't know where the water came from, but it was already at his ankle and rising quickly.
~Ssisss!~
Hiro raises his head, and just before him was the snake that was at the end of the room. It's mouth wide open and it's fangs visible for Hiro to see. Involuntarily, Hiro's body reacted. He rushed back and widened the distance between them.
"This isn't real," he mutters looking at the snake charging at him.
He jumped left and then right as he rushed back dodging the snake twice. Unfortunately he couldn't do it again. The water was rising quickly, affecting his movement and causing him to fall. On the other hand, it favored the snake. It glides through the water like an eel after its prey.
It plunged out of the water, its jaw wide open as it aimed at his prey. Hiro on the other hand had fallen into the water. He couldn't breath and couldn't do anything to fend the snake off.
"This isn't real," he roars in his head as he struggles to breath. His left eye shone brightly with golden light. The snake froze in the air and the water became still. Slowly and steadily, the water and the snake turns into light particles as they fade away.
They weren't the only two that faded away. The walls, ceilings and even the floor did the same and his surroundings changed once again. His surroundings completely changed, Hiro's left eye stopped glowing and both his eyes closed.
When he opened his eyes again, he was hovering in the air. Beneath him was a vast golden sea and above was the clear blue sky. He could swear he felt a soft breeze kiss him as it flew by.
"This…?"
Before he could mutter completely, a force from above pulled at him. Dragging him up at a terribly fast speed. Hiro closed his eyes tightly as he covered a great distance in seconds.
By the time he opened his eyes, he was standing in front of the pillar and everyone else was there with him.
What the hell just happened?
"Huh? You came through?" Hiro heard the man's voice behind him. "And in less than ten breaths, that's good,"
Hiro looks at the man behind him. His forehead corrugated as he looked at the man.
"What's wrong?"
"Uh? Nothing!"
Hiro closed his left eye as the man scratched his head, wondering what he was doing. After a while he closed his right eye and opened his left eye. When he opened his left eye, he could see a light red glow around the man's body.
"Did this pillar mess up my sight?" he thought and opened his right eye. "Permit me to ask sir, what is this test for?"
"Hmm? Well, you've already finished it. There's no harm telling you," the man sighs and turned to the pillar. "It's an illusion slash soul test. With it we'll know if you are fit for learning array formations or if you should take the path of soul cultivation,"
"Soul cultivation?" Hiro mutters.
"It's a path of cultivation for strengthening one's soul. By the way, I am curious how did you break the illusion so quickly?"
"Huh? When it started I knew it wasn't real, so I calmed myself as much as possible," Hiro lies.
"And how did you know it wasn't real?"
