章 1: Setting for the Adventure
Captain Jaxon "Jax" Vashin gazed out at the stars streaming past his ship, the "Marauder's Revenge." His crew bustled around him, preparing for their next smuggling run.
"Jax, we're receiving a transmission from the EUG," said his pilot, a gruff but lovable man named Grimjack.
Jax raised an eyebrow. "Put it through."
EUG Agent Lena Grant's face appeared on the comms screen. "Captain Vashin, you're under arrest for smuggling and treason."
Jax snorted. "Treason? That's a new one."
"You have 24 hours to surrender," Lena said, her voice firm.
Jax grinned. "I'll think about it."
The transmission ended, and Jax turned to his crew. "Time to lay low for a while. We have a job to do."
They jumped into hyperspace, heading for the edge of the galaxy...
