"Seems like I won't expect any Mutagen to give its fruits soon. Heh."

Five meters in height, the Inquisitor Golem floated with only its upper torso intact. Its two arms stretched into arms bigger than its head, both were cradling the air as if it was holding something invisible.

Its small head scanned the surroundings. On the Inquisitor Golem's chest was showcased a crystal core that emitted a spark of electricity as a small forcefield sheltered it comfortably.

[Do you want to use your Appraisal Charge, Jack?]

"No thanks." Jack snickered. "I'll be going raw with this one. It's been a long time since I fought with a battle puppet before."

If it wasn't obvious enough, every autonomous battle giant used a fuel or core reactor to move its body. Damage that core, and the battle giant would stop moving.

As a ray of light blessed the inquisitor with hope, the bulking mass of stones gazed at the perpetrator who awoke it from its grace.

Without any warning, the golem charged at Jack's position with arm ready to be hurled.

Its arm could be seen crushing something as vapor appeared for a moment before it turned into an unrelenting fist.

'There is something there.'

In a split second, Jack discarded his weapons to the side for an easier recovery and threw his body to avoid the smash. The ground that got hit exploded, creating a crater with numerous blue dust rising to the air.

Jack kept moving, he left both of his swords in exchange of turning his arms into limbs for walking.

"Primal Monkey Style!"

His agility was tempered tremendously when he started to move from branches to branches on trees. It made his arms slightly stronger and more flexible for precarious movement.

He then shifted his gaze as he kept sprinting with four limbs, having his tentacle to act as the fifth limb and hold onto the halberd.

'Sheesh!' Jack began to reconsider using the Appraisal Charge. 'There is definitely something on its palms!'

Jack hoped that it could shatter or dent the mammoth door while it was doing so but there was not a single scratch that was inflicted to the door.

Continuing the heavy rush, the Inquisitor Golem shoveled the charred dirt and stone with its arm. It then splashed it onto Jack's direction.

The small sprayed projectile immediately turned into a flicker of red. Jack avoided most of it by moving unpredictably, hiding in-between pillars and increasing the distance gap.

A moment after it was thrown, the flicker resulted in an unknown chain reaction. There were multiple lightning travelling back and forth through the flying bits of charred soils and stones, until they blasted itself onto Jack like a barrage of machine guns.

In the middle of the rising smoke and blue dusts from the barrage, a jagged blade flew and pierced the pretty fog, right onto the crystal core.

Turns out, the force field was as strong as a chunk of steel. The jagged projectile was deflected and flung onto the ground.

The absence of smoke revealed Jack nervously grinning after hurling the jagged sword. He then continued to run, preferably in a circle as he was curious about the tall door guarded by this ruin.

It wasn't technically guarded by the ruin, but the Inquisitor Golem was the ruin.

Like a pilot that had full control of its body, the Inquisitor Golem accelerated at terrifying speed before stopping and unleashing a whip of air on the surroundings, gazing at the running monkey below.

"This isn't a Golem!"

The Golem abruptly clenched its palm onto a fist. Unlike back then, Jack could now get a clear view of the action as it happened one meter above him.

"That is a Fighter Plane!"

In the middle of his sarcastic rambling, he managed to glimpse the forcefield on which the Inquisitor Golem's chest disappeared.

With his life on the line, Jack put most of its strength on all limbs. He also hardened the Petra Tentacle in case that the explosion caused a huge damage.

When the hammer hit the anvil, the explosion unleashed the same shockwave. It barely damaged Jack as he only got flung onto the surrounding by the gush of wind. His instant monkey style training allowed him to land safely on one of the pillars body, softening the impact in the exchange of having a throbbing hand on his wrist.

As he finally landed on the ground, he was screaming inside because of the pain.

[There is a split second down time on the forcefield that is protecting the Inquisitor Golem's crystal.]

"Yeah, I saw that." He stumbled on his other jagged blade right beside him. Jack then picked it up, gripping the handle tightly. "Before diving, it's better if we could test the water."

The hunk of floating stone then shoveled its arms onto the charred soil and stones on the crater once again. This time, Jack meticulously stared at the Inquisitor Golem instead of running away.

At that moment, the Golem flinched for a split second. It might be a poison in disguise, the blessing that it received as an autonomous battle puppet.

Animated object without any soul couldn't feel the wavelength and anonymity from that of a predator. If there were any living beings within the vicinity of the ruin, they would be immediately terrified of the looming darkness that shrouded the sky.

Jack himself wasn't even conscious of this. All that he knew that he needed to gaze patiently, taking every pixel of information into his brain.

The information to kill that thing.
