"Are you sure this is the room, Christina?" she asked the young woman who was going to be a widow in a few months. Her husband was already announced as brain dead and there was no way he could wake up.

Many had voted against her. But strangely Downshire and Damien had supported her to stay in her position as the vassal family of the Alancaster.

Christina shifted her weight as she saw doubt in Eve's eyes. She wiped her sweaty hands from her dress and forced a nod.

She wanted to add some excuses too but she could not think of any. Thank goodness, Eve did not ask anything but nodded softly and opened the door.

There were three men sitting inside. They looked surprised when they noticed Eve and Christy together.

"So you were not lying." they said with a hint of shock in their voice as they stood up and bowed in front of Eve.
