章 1: When Everything went blank
Finally! I managed to leave my country and stepped into New York. I have only seen it in movies. These busy roads might distract me from my trauma.
I started walking towards the exit of New York Airport. The blue happy skies seemed to welcome me happily into this merry world. I was ecstatic. There is nobody in this city to control me or deny permission. My ears went red with the excitement to experience this new phase of life. The air of freedom gently caressed my hair that is tied into a pony gently falling on my backpack. I underwent carotene treatment for my sister's wedding. before leaving the country I straitened my hair, terrified about the thought of maintaining it if it were curly.
With all the overwhelming thoughts smothering my brain, I walked out of the airport. I was holding 2 pink trolleys and all the important documents were placed in one of them. The backpack contained a passport, flight tickets, and 100$. I looked out for a taxi. A taxi driver came to me to help me out. I decided to hail his taxi. He helped me put the luggage inside the trunk. The fare was 30$. So I took out 30$ and placed the rest inside the backpack.
I sat inside the taxi. There was a weird fruity smell in the car. He put on a mask. I started feeling suspicious about this. I slowly slid towards the door and reached out to the handle.
Woah!
Another hand grabbed the handle from the outside. A man with a well-built physique, wearing a black jacket, black jeans, and a mask hastily pushed me aside and entered the car. I was stunned. I started to shout. He forcibly shut my mouth with a cotton cloth. There was a huge tattoo on his right hand. It looked good on his fair skin. This cloth again had a different smell. His rough hands, held onto my neck from behind, placed his one gigantic leg on mine. Within no time I dozed off.
