Chu Zhiyi had taken a bath and now stood in front of the mirror in her pajamas, examining the state of her recuperating cheeks.

Yan Jingting's ointment had worked wonderfully; just after a single day, the swelling had gone down by more than half, but solid red marks still remained that probably needed another two or three days to completely fade away.

She busied herself with some work she had brought back and dawdled for quite a while before going to look for Yan Jingting.

As expected, Yan Jingting had finished dinner; the butler told her he had gone to the study.

After asking where the study was, Chu Zhiyi walked over and knocked on the door of the study.

It was quite a while before a voice from inside said, "Come in."

Chu Zhiyi pushed the door open; the study was quite large, with nearly five bookshelves standing on either side of the walls, and a gigantic landscape photo hanging on the wall opposite the desk.
