In a secluded area of London, a decently small church with a large warehouse-looking building to the side of it. Inside the warehouse-looking building are couches, tables, and stairs that go up two stories.
On the ground floor, are groups of children ranging from 3 to 13 years old playing games while a handful of nuns watch over the children. An older nun, however, is seen walking up the first flight of stairs to the first story of the building and begins walking further down the corridor, before knocking on a door.
"Come in!!" A high-pitched girly voice came from inside the room, the nun then opened the door. Only to see the probable source of the voice in a single bed reading a book with another child clinging to her small body.
"Good Afternoon, little Alana." The nun greeted, this wasn't uncommon for her to see anymore as these two children had been like this for the last 2 years.
Alana is a 9-year-old girl, she has long but slightly curly White-Gold hair, Baby Blue eyes, Lustrous White skin, a slim build, and would stand below 4ft or 121cm high. She also wore a pale blue pajama and held a red book with a damaged label.
"Mrs. Nun, do you need help?" Alana asked, the nun then walked up to the two children and brought a chair from the desk towards the bed. She sat down and looked at her.
"Well, I plan on going to the market to sell the crops we have been able to grow. So I wanted to ask if you wanted to join since it was with the help of both of you that this could happen?"
Alana smiled and then responded.
"Yeah, that would be great. When do we leave?"
"In an hour." The nun then rubbed her head and did the same with the other child in her arms, before standing up and leaving the room.
Alana looked at the fleeting nun before changing her sight to the child in her arms. Unlike anyone, he knew that she was different. Well, he was the same as her—a Reincarnate.
He had found out that she was a reincarnate when they were 5 when he had mistakenly read her diary.
<Flashback>
Alana can be seen walking up the same staircase the nun walked up, holding a brown book in her arms. She opened her room's door and closed it behind her when entering. She then walked to her desk and grabbed a pencil, she opened the book only to see already written words inside.
This made her eyes widen as she realized that she grabbed the wrong book, in a burst of speed she ran out of the room and down the stairs only to see a scene she did not want to see.
In front of her is a boy with pitch-Black hair that reaches above his ears, widened Yellow eyes, white skin, and slightly muscular arms holding onto an opened brown book which was most likely her diary.
The moment she saw this she grabbed his hand and rushed him back to her room in a fit of desperation of not wanting others to know her secret.
After slamming her room door closed, she looked behind her to see the boy still holding onto her diary, however, his eyes were now covered by his fringe.
"You. You will be quiet about everything you have read. Do you understand me?!" Alana while sounding angry, was panicking and was about to have a panic attack due to the probability of having her identity revealed and her life would then fall apart.
The boy then breathed in heavily, he seemed to be calming himself down. He then replied to her outburst.
"You're really, stupid." His childish but mature tone stunned her, at first was his comment, and second his unnaturally mature tone.
"W-what?" Was all she could respond while leaning her back against her door.
"I mean, while I was shocked that you also reincarnated. But you shouldn't write in any random book about such an important secret." Alana was about to panic before she thought about what he said more clearly.
"Wait, also?" Her eyes then began to water.
"Yeah, I also am not from here."
With this revelation, she collapsed to her knees and brought her hands to her chest while her hair covered her now weeping face. The boy dropped the diary in shock.
"H-hey, don't cry." He started to get concerned when she suddenly started crying more so he kneeled and hugged her.
She started to calm down and when she finished crying she moved her hands to his shoulders and flicked her hair away to look at him face-to-face.
"I'm not crying because I'm upset, I'm just. So happy." She then buried her face into his neck and wrapped her arms over his shoulder, the boy was shocked at her actions before squeezing his arms above her waist.
He didn't realize it, he too was happy to have someone in the same predicament.
<Flashback End>
After that day Alana burned her diary in the orphanage's fireplace and started talking to the now-named boy 'Avery'. Avery had been her new beacon of happiness and she was to him, as they were the only people who could truly open up to each other.
Alana stroked Avery's hair as he slept before she shook his body causing him to awake.
"Hmm." He groaned, lifted himself, and opened his eyes. He looked at Alana's eyes.
"Good morning, Avy." Alana called him by his nickname.
"Thanks. Why'd you wake me up?"
"The elder Nun has asked if we wanted to join in selling our crops."
Avery sighed before taking the blanket off, he walked to a wardrobe, wore black joggers, a black shirt, and a grey jumper with a zipper, and started grabbing some grey shoes.
Alana joined him and changed into a light blue dress that reached below her knees, wore a white jumper, and slipped on some white shoes. She then walked to her desk and placed the book she was reading on the desk.
"Alright, I'm going downstairs and helping the elder Nun, to get the crops ready for travel." Avery spoke, he then went to Alana pecked her head, and then left the room. Alana smiled and looked at two photos on her desk.
The first was a black-and-white picture of Alana and Avery hugging each other on a couch, and the second was a black-and-white picture of an older woman and man holding a baby these two being her mother and father.
She remembers her life from birth and so remembers her 2 years with her parents before one day the police gave her to the orphanage. After turning 4 she read her orphanage papers stating how her parents were killed by an animal but was never found out which or how it was in our family home.
Looking at her family photo she promised her mother and father that she would either find out what killed them or what happened to them.
