章 13: Chapter 11
(1st POV)
"So, can we talk, Miss Robin?" I asked Robin. I saw her giving me a nod, thus I started,
"So, I know you have a lot of questions and I can guess most, if not all of them. Then, let me introduce myself, my name is Jacob Daniel. As for why I brought you here, I want to recruit you into my crew, to work for me as an information gatherer."
Looking towards me in skepticism and asked me in a slightly distrusting voice, "Why? Don't you want the bounty on my head? Do you know how much risk you are taking by recruiting me? By the way are you a pirate? And why should I trust you?"
Ok, that's now a whole lot of trauma and distrust terminating from her. Now, what should I do? Well, that can be done. I don't want to lie to her, but I guess for the greater good...
"Well, I am not a pirate first of all, second, with you working for me I can earn ten times as much as your bounty, and for the risk from WG, we can dye your hair blond and can have you wear contacts with a new name. This will keep you from their radar till I am confident enough to beat them. I will not tell you to trust me, but I want to help you as I know what kind of past you have, from my adopted grandpa, who was a former marine commodore and there is one personal reason that I would keep to myself."
"Is...is th...is true?" She asked.
"Yes." I replied.
"But, I still can't trust you. But, if you can ensure my safety and not betray me, I will work for you." She decided.
"Good, then first I want to change your appearance to what I said. Then bring me the list of the top 10 pirates in West Blue, so I can sweep through them and earn some cash. Also, tell me about the best shipwright in West Blue, so I can commission him with a ship that can sail on the grandline. Also, start training harder, as things are about to get chaotic." I ordered her.
"Ok, it will take at most, a day to bring all the details, with my change in appearance."
"Ok, then you can go now, I will be expecting you here at this time."
She was confused and asked me, "How can you be so trusting, don't you fear that I will run away?"
I replied to her with a smile, "If I can't trust someone then I don't have the right to expect trust from someone, it's as simple as that. You should go now."
She nodded and went through the window. Well, that worked pretty well. It will be a lie that I'm not afraid that she will run away, but to win her trust I can do this much, even if she ran away, I can easily find her as I have marked her signatures with my elemental sight. So, I can have more opportunities. Thinking about my future plans and doing some light training, I went to sleep.
(Robin POV)
After I went out of the inn, I started to think about our conversation. He is not looking at me like I am money or a piece of meat, he only looked at me with a caring gaze. When was the last time I felt like this, yes, my time with Saul. When I was thinking about this I felt something wet on my cheeks, I was crying. I haven't felt like this in a long time. Going to his last sentence, I decided to give him a chance.
"Well, the last smile, was very beautiful on his handsome face."
When I heard my whisper, I got embarrassed and threw these thought out of the window, but having someone care fo you is a nice thing.
*Next Morning*
*Tok**Tok**Tok**Tok*
Who the hell is knocking on the door early in the morning? While grumbling about it, I went to open the door, but boy the vision in front of me knocked me out of my senses. I saw a mature beauty with blond hair and blue eyes staring at me. I noticed that I was staring intensely for about 5 minutes, so with an embarrassed cough I turned around and invited her to my room.
I heard her say, "Ara Ara, the big boy is shy now."
With this, I confirmed that she is Robin. So, I held my bearings and turned towards her. Then said,
"Welcome to the family. Now can we start?"
From the corner of my eyes, I saw she her sad for a moment, I guess she is having flashbacks about Saul, so to calm herself I said,
"Don't worry, I will always be there for you in any situation."
From back I heard a small thank you. I guess, I was able to gain her trust, although a little.
