章 16: Strength of a Hundred Seal

After that meeting with Takumi, Rin refused his offer again, and since then, Takumi kept bothering Rin, persistently asking for her help. Rin continued refusing and tried to enjoy her time in the city while trying to learn the Reverse Cursed Technique before the sorcerers discover her location.

Rumors began to spread about Takumi, who had fallen in love with an outsider female and was following her all over the place, despite her constant rejections. Everyone in the center of the city knew about this strange situation.

"Takumi-sama, it's not good for your reputation to keep following that ungrateful piece of shit," one of Takumi's servants remarked, clearly exasperated by his master's behavior.

"It's none of your business," Takumi replied coldly, his eyes narrowing with contempt. "Someone kill this idiot."

The servant's eyes widened in shock, but before he could react, another guard swiftly obeyed Takumi's command. The servant's body crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

Takumi turned away, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of Rin. He was determined to win her over, no matter the cost. The rumors and disdain of others were insignificant compared to his obsession with her. "It's all part of my plan," Takumi thought to himself.

.......

Suddenly in the night, a group of assassins burst into Takumi's room, entering through the windows and door with lethal weapons in their hands.

These assassins were sent by Takumi's brothers, who wanted him dead. Takumi slowly turned and looked at them, smiling.

"It seems we have some guests," Takumi said, smirking. His hands were enhanced with cursed energy, though the assassins, being normal people, couldn't see it. Despite his cursed energy being weak and almost fading, it was enough for him to handle these intruders.

"Today is your last day, Takumi. Goodbye," one of them said, lunging forward with a dagger.

Takumi moved with surprising agility, sidestepping the attack. With a swift motion, he struck the assassin in the chest, sending him crashing into the wall. The others hesitated for a moment, startled by the unexpected resistance, but then they regrouped and attacked in unison.

The room erupted into chaos as Takumi fought the assassins. Despite the odds, he moved with ruthless precision, using his cursed energy to enhance his strikes and defend himself. The assassins, though skilled, were no match for Takumi's abilities.

One by one, the assassins fell to Takumi's relentless onslaught. The last assassin, realizing the futility of the fight, tried to flee, but Takumi caught him by the collar and slammed him to the ground.

"Who did not send you?" Takumi demanded, his voice cold and menacing.

"You already know th—What?? Huh?" The assassin was about to answer but was confused by the unusual response. However, before he could process the situation, Takumi swiftly ended his life with a precise strike.

Takumi stood amidst the fallen assassins, his mind momentarily clear from his obsession with Rin. His brothers' treachery had been confirmed, and he knew that their attempts to eliminate him would only escalate. Wiping the blood from his hands, he made a mental note to deal with his brothers later.

"It's very easy to deal with my brothers, but to achieve greater goals, I need Rin," Takumi thought to himself as he sipped his drink. His desire for Rin wasn't driven by any romantic feelings but by a deeper, unknown reason that fueled his determination.

......…

Meanwhile, Rin sat in quiet contemplation, the flickering candlelight casting shadows across her face.

"I think I'm not desperate enough to learn Reverse Cursed Technique, huh?" she mused aloud. The memory of Gojo's situation flashed through her mind—how he had unlocked the technique at the brink of death, his survival instinct pushing his abilities to their limits.

"Am I willing to risk it all?" Rin wondered, her heart pounding with the gravity of the decision. She knew that forcing herself to the edge of death could trigger the necessary breakthrough, but the fear of failure and death loomed large. She questioned her faith in her abilities, feeling that they might not be strong enough to take such a drastic step.

The internal struggle was palpable. Rin wanted to reach new heights, to push past her limits and master the Reverse Cursed Technique, but doubt gnawed at her. She knew that without complete confidence, any hesitation could mean her end.

"It is what it is," Rin said to herself, stretching as she decided to change her goal. Instead of focusing solely on the Reverse Cursed Technique, she would broaden her horizons and learn new techniques.

"Let's try to copy Tsunade from Naruto," Rin mused, a smile creeping onto her face. She wanted to create the Strength of a Hundred Seal, and with the help of binding vows, she believed she could replicate it in this world.

The Strength of a Hundred Seal, as Rin envisioned it, would be a technique that involves storing vast amounts of cursed energy over an extended period into a specific point on her body. This process would create a seal, manifesting as a rhombus-like marking. Once the seal is formed, Rin gains exceptional cursed energy control, similar to the Six Eyes effect, allowing her to perform techniques without any wasted energy.

When released, the seal would spread across her hand, releasing the stored cursed energy into her body and greatly amplifying the power of her techniques. The seal would remain permanently in the center of her palm, allowing her to continue benefiting from its effects.

Rin knew this would be a long and arduous process. She would need to meticulously store cursed energy and create binding vows to ensure the technique's success. However, the potential benefits were immense. With the Strength of a Hundred Seal, she could significantly enhance her combat abilities and gain an edge in her battles.

...…

After a long day of training, Rin decided to take a break and enjoy some street food. She wandered through the bustling market, savoring the sights, sounds, and smells of the city. As she bit into a skewer of grilled meat, she felt a familiar presence nearby.

"Rin!" Takumi's voice called out. She sighed inwardly but turned to face him, already anticipating his next plea for help.

Takumi approached her with a smile, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hands. "You look beautiful as always."

"…"

"You know that you're starting to annoy me, right?" Rin responded, not missing a beat. "The only reason I haven't killed you yet is that you're quite good to look at. But don't push your luck too much; you are not the Honored ahh One." She turned back to the food stall, eyeing her next choice.

"Thanks for the compliment," Takumi said, ignoring her threat and continuing to smile. "I hope one day you'll fall for me as I have fallen for you."

Rin rolled her eyes, selecting another skewer. "You really don't give up, do you?"

"Persistence is one of my many virtues," Takumi replied, offering her the flowers.

Rin took the bouquet, more out of curiosity than appreciation. "What makes you think I'm interested in flowers?"

"Well, I thought they might brighten your day," he said, still grinning.

Rin's expression softened for a moment before she returned to her usual demeanor. "You do realize that I don't need you to brighten my day, right?"

Takumi laughed. "I figured as much. But it doesn't hurt to try."

Rin took a bite of her new skewer, chewing thoughtfully. "You really are persistent. I'll give you that."

"And you're stubborn," Takumi countered, his smile unwavering.

"Stubbornness keeps me alive," Rin retorted.

"Maybe my persistence will too," Takumi suggested, his tone lighthearted.

Rin couldn't help but chuckle at his audacity. "You're something else, Takumi. Fine, you can stick around. But don't expect anything more than my tolerance."

"That's all I ask," Takumi said, bowing slightly. "For now."

Rin shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips despite herself. "You're impossible."

"Impossible to resist, perhaps?" Takumi quipped.

"Don't push it," Rin warned, though there was a hint of amusement in her voice.
