Mia and Raven had to wait patiently for several days before their winter holiday finally came to a close.
Raven filled up his backpack with all the school supplies that he needed for the day.
Double-checking that everything is in place.
While lying on the bed, Mia watched him.
"Whatcha doing?" She asked.
"Just making sure everything is in my bag for school." Raven said.
"Alright. I'm going to sleep then." Mia said, laying down.
School is not a priority for her, and she would rather catch up on sleep than assist with mundane tasks.
"I'm going to stay up for a bit," Raven said, sitting back down on the chair.
"Ok, Goodnight love," she muttered, closing her eyes.
Raven turned on his game and started playing.
He joined a call with his two friends and started a casual gaming session.
Fortunately, Mia could sleep soundly, which meant that when he raised his voice, she didn't hear him.
After an hour of gaming, he bid farewell to his friends, logged off the game, and nestled up next to Mia, eventually drifting off into a deep slumber.
Early in the morning, Raven woke up to a delightful sight that brought a smile to his face.
Mia's waist was securely held by him, as if he considered her to be his most valuable possession.
Raven remained still for a while, savouring the moment, before rousing her from her slumber.
As he gently kissed her on the cheek, her eyes flew open in surprise.
Mia moaned quietly as she woke up.
"Good morning." He said.
"Morning," she replied. "Is it time to go?"
Raven nodded.
"Let's get some breakfast first."
Mia smiled and took his hand.
"Sounds good."
After they both left their room, they took some time to wash up and then made their way down to the dining room.
Upon their arrival, their parents greeted them warmly.
"Morning." Raven and Mia said together.
Once Raven arrived at the table, he took a seat and was soon joined by Mia, who sat down next to him.
Their mother placed the plates of food on the table as everyone enjoyed their meal.
Once Raven and Mia had finished eating their breakfast, they cleaned up after themselves.
They walked outside with their bags and walked to school, talking about the upcoming exams next week.
After a 50 minute walk, they both finally reached the entrance of the school.
"Well, I'm going to head off to my class." Raven said.
Mia smiled.
"See you at lunch then."
Raven nodded and walked into his classroom.
"See you later." He said, kissing her on the lips.
"Bye." Mia said, watching him leave.
She sighed. She hated that they're at school right now.
She wanted to be alone with him.
Raven walked into his class and sat down at the back, not aware of Mia's thoughts.
Today the teacher just went over some reviews and handed out the final comparison essay.
Raven had Vanessa help him out with the assignment and finished it in an hour.
After finishing, Raven took out his notebook and studied.
After an hour, Raven looked up at the clock and saw it was almost time for the bell.
He sighed, put his stuff away and headed to the school's exit, skipping his second class.
After leaving school, Raven sat on the bench outside as Mia walked out of the school building.
She looked over at him and smiled.
Raven got up and walked over to her, hugging her.
"Let's go." He said, leading her to the nearest stores.
"Where do you want to go today?" He asked.
Mia shrugged.
"Anywhere." She replied.
They walked into a store and bought some snacks and drinks before walking back to school.
Raven opened the bag and handed a bottle to Mia.
She looked inside and saw it was an energy drink.
Mia took it and gave it to Raven.
"I'm not thirsty right now," she said.
"You drink it."
Raven opened the bottle and drank the whole thing, feeling energised.
He then tossed the empty bottle into a nearby trash bin and started walking again.
Mia followed him and looked at his back, thinking.
The two talked for an hour and a half before the third bell sounded, signalling the start of the third period.
"Well, I have to go," Raven said.
"Alright, see you later." Mia replied, kissing him.
Raven waved and walked to his third period class, which was maths.
Raven just sat there in a daze, not paying attention to the teacher at all.
After the third bell rang, his teacher stopped Raven.
"Raven, wait!" She shouted.
"yes?" Raven asked with a frown.
"Here is the sheet you need to sign to take part in the tournament next week." She said, handing him a piece of paper.
Raven looked over it and nodded.
"Alright, I'll give you the page tomorrow." Raven said.
The teacher smiled and nodded.
"Alright, don't push yourself too hard."
Raven nodded and said thanks and left the class.
As Raven was walking down the hallway, he heard a loud crash and some girls screaming.
Raven didn't care at all, he ain't no hero, and walked past the commotion and walked into his fourth period class.
After the class was over, Raven headed out and was greeted by Mia.
"Hey Raven," she said with a smile.
"Hey Mia." Raven greeted her back.
Mia then looked at him with a serious expression.
"Did you hear about the fight that happened after the third period?"
Raven shook his head.
"Apparently, some girl got beat up, and the cops were called."
Raven shrugged his shoulders.
"What else is new at this school? Some much drama happens here daily."
Mia nodded, but still felt a bit of fear lingering in her heart.
"What if someone did that to us?" Mia asked.
Raven turned and looked at her.
"One, I'd never let that happen. Two, don't get involved with those types of people and all your troubles will be avoided."
Mia smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"Are you sure you won't be the one getting beat up?"
Raven raised a brow.
"Don't believe me?"
Mia shuttered at his look and quickly admitted her mistake.
"No, no. Of course not."
Raven nodded in satisfaction and walked hand in hand with Mia home.
