Gao Shun, a paragon of defense tactic prowess, led his elite warriors with strategic precision, employing their renowned defensive tactics against the advancing forces at the top of the wall. Sun Guan and Yu Jin, in turn, orchestrated maneuvers to breach the formidable defenses and secure their victory over Gao Shun to end Lu Bu's survival.
The air crackled with the clash of steel, the cries of warriors, and the rhythmic cadence of war drums. Gao Shun's elite unit who was known as the formation breaker can't truly show their full combat power.
It was because the terrain that they were fighting in right now didn't support them fully, they were best fighting on open plains or mountainous areas where they could move more freely than on the top of the wall.
At this time rain arrows suddenly rained upon Gao Shuna and his elite unit, Sun Guan who's leading the Archer unit of Cao Cao and Liu Bei's combined army ordered his unit to shoot the arrow upon them.
Gao Shun who saw the rain of arrows coming upon them ordered his unit to raise their shield, managing to protect themselves from getting shot even though there were soldiers that got grazed on the face or shot in the leg.
While Gao Shun and his unit are passively defending themselves from the arrows that rained down upon them, Yu Jin sends the infantries that were pushed back by Gao Shun unit's from climbing the ladders to gain a foothold on top of the wall.
For a while Yu Jin's infantry managed to climb the wall using the siege ladder easily and managed to gain a foothold on top of the wall, unfortunately for them, it was at this time Gao Shun led his elite unit and showed them why they were called the formation breaker.
Yu Jin's men put up a defensive formation on top of the wall which was an easy picking for Gao Shun and his elite unit, with Gao Shun leading at the forefront the defensive formation of Yu Jin's men was broken.
Yu Jin's men tried their best to hold their defensive formation, even sacrificing their own bodies and even lives to let the formation stand still, but Gao Shun and his elite unit utilized weird tactics and excellent teamwork that they couldn't stop.
Yu Jin from below the wall could see that his men's position atop the wall was in jeopardy, so he ordered the war drum to sound sending a signal to Sun Guan and his archer units to fire their arrows.
Hearing the sound of the war drums, Sun Guan and his archer unit once again release a rain of arrows upon Gao Shun and his unit, this time some of Yu Jin's infantries are caught in the crossfire.
Gao Shun seeing what happened realizes that the enemy generals knew why he was there, which was to collect more supplies for Lu Bu and they attempted to stop him or even end him permanently.
Gao Shun began to think of ways for him and his unit to leave the small town, where they were being surrounded right now alongside their supplies, and head toward Beihai without stopping.
While Gao Shun is trying to find a perfect plan so that he and his unit can leave Lean County with all of the supplies in their hand to Beihai, at Xiapi Lie Fan is having a meeting wall with his advisors that was present in Xiapi right now.
This meeting held by Chen Qun and Liu Ye to introduce Man Chong and Mao Jie to Lie Fan, and Lie Fan who was told of this meeting will be held also informed them that after Man Chong and Mao Jie were introduced to him, he would like to announce a new project.
Chen Qun: "My Lord I would like to introduce to you, Man Chong and Mao Jie, who were my friends and famous scholars in their own region, they came here to Xiapi under my invitation, and would like to recommend them to My Lord."
Man Chong & Mao Jie: "Man Chong (Mao Jie) greets Lord Lie Fan!"

Man Chong: "We understand Lord Lie Fan you don't have to apologize to us, it was the two of us who came at the wrong time, and don't worry Lord Lie Fan the two of us feel very welcomed and comfortable staying in Xiapi."
Mao Jie: "Yes Lord Lie Fan just like Man Chong said we fully understand and it's us who came too late, it was us who should apologize for our late arrival."
Lie Fan: "Haha thank you for your understanding, well then let me cut to the chase, Ziyang had told me about the two of you and I would like to extend an invitation for the two of you to serve me, do the two of you agree or not? It's okay if you don't want to, you two don't have to be afraid to reject me."
Man Chong: "Lord Lie Fan after staying in Xiapi for some time, seeing its condition and how well the people lived, also how efficient and excellent your administration work, the great atmosphere between your retainer, and my teacher Lu Zhi presence here, I Man Chong have seen My Lord."
Mao Jie: "Just like the list of reasons Man Chong has said, except for Master Lu Zhi becoming my teacher, I feel that directive many knowledge and insight from Master Cai Yong and Master Zhuge Xuan, I Mao Jie have also seen My Lord."
Lie Fan: "Haha! Good! Good! Then welcome Man Chong and Mao Jie, the two of you from now on are officially my advisors, for your future assignments will be informed at a later time."
While Lie Fan said these words to Man Chong and Mao Jie, Lie Fan used the Eye of Erlang Shen on the two of them to see what kind of stats the two of them have.
•Man Chong
INT: 667 WIS: 94 VIT: 85 CHR: 70
•Mao Jie
INT: 512 WIS: 83 VIT: 77 CHR: 77
Their stats satisfied Lie Fan as their starting point for their stats to rise in the future are good, and they are placed in the middle and upper level of the talent that serves him right now.
Lie Fan's advisors congratulated Lie Fan and welcomed both Man Chong and Mao Jie officially, after some miscellaneous words exchanged between everyone there, it was Lie Fan's turn to announce the new project he wanted to announce.
Lie Fan calls for a servant to enter the room, holding a tray with the brass telescope on top of it which Lie Fan takes out from his inventory and gives to this servant to bring inside when he calls for him.
Everyone in the room was immediately focused on the brass telescope, they had never seen such a thing before and it piqued their curiosity, especially Lu Zhi, Zhuge Xuan, Man Chong, and Mao Jie who experienced this for the first time.
Lie Fan took the brass telescope from the servant and began to introduce the brass telescope to them when everyone in the room heard the function of the brass telescope they gasped in astonishment.
Hearing that they could see things that were far from their location was something they had never heard before, especially Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye whose minds immediately knew that this could be a benefit for their military and navy.
They thought like that because if they could see the enemies first and now what they consisted of, who's the leader of the opposite army, and what kind of formation they were using while marching on their way was very important information for generals and strategists.
As for the Navy, They could see their target from afar and find things easier in the vast open sea, if the dots they saw that was far away from them, they could use the bars telescope to identify if it was enemy ships or an island or other things that they could found.
Everyone in the room immediately clamored wanting to try to use the brass telescope, Lie Fan brought them toward a terrace where in there each one of Lie Fan's advisors tried the brass telescope.
Amid the shared amazement at the capabilities of the brass telescope, Jia Xu's astute observation about Oriole's potential use of this technology resonated in the minds of Lie Fan and his advisors. As the room buzzed with excitement, each council member took their turn experiencing the wonders of the new device.
After the demonstrations, the council reconvened in the chamber where Lie Fan fielded the inquiries of Liu Ye and Mi Zhu regarding the brass telescope's mass production and Lie Fan began to unravel the intricate details.
Lie Fan began, his voice carrying the weight of determination explain that to mass-produce the brass telescope, they must first master the art of glass-making. The lenses are crucial, and the precision of our craftsmanship will define the success of each unit.
Lie Fan retrieved a carefully preserved schematic, unfolding it before the eager eyes of his advisors, and explained that this invaluable knowledge was unearthed within the depths of Wu Coffer, following his triumph over Yan Baihu.
With scholarly eloquence, Lie Fan delved into the glass-making technique, explaining the nuances and emphasizing the need for specific raw materials.
Lie Fan explained that they shall require skilled artisans, dedicated equipment, and, of course, a substantial investment of resources. The brass telescope's potential is vast, and if they truly commit, they can ensure its widespread integration into the Military, naval, and Intelligence operations.
Lie Fan's vision resonated with the council, each member contemplating the profound implications of their current undertaking. The chamber, once filled with discussions of military strategy, now hummed with the excitement of exploration into uncharted territories of knowledge.
As the council absorbed Lie Fan's strategic vision, plans were set in motion to allocate funds, secure materials, and assemble a team of artisans to embark on this ambitious project that Lie Fan announced.
As Lie Fan outlined the intricacies of mass-producing the brass telescope, a spark of anticipation ignited in his eyes. The prospect of mastering the art of glass-making went beyond the immediate advantages of the telescope; it opened a gateway to untapped possibilities.
Lie Fan's vision resonated with the council, each member contemplating the profound implications of their current undertaking. The chamber, once filled with discussions of military strategy, now hummed with the excitement of exploration into uncharted territories of knowledge.
As plans were set in motion to bring the brass telescope to fruition, Lie Fan's thoughts lingered on the boundless potential that the mastery of glass-making could unlock new kinds of modern wonder that he could introduce in this era, where his dynasty would be known as realms of ingenuity and technological advancement.
