A whole lot of time has passed since my coronation as hokage of this village. To be more precise six years had passed. Many things had changed from a few years ago and many remain same. Although I had been busy with paperwork I continued to train Naruto. In the six years that I have trained him, he has progressed a lot. Currently his overall strength could be considered as high chunin to low jonin.
Well his chakra reserves are off the chart. They are bigger than Hiruzen, Tsunade and Jiraiya. I told him about the Kyubi when he was ten and although he was initially confused and did not understand, He did come to terms with it after I explained it to him in details. Surprisingly instead of only wind nature attribute, Naruto possessed four chakra natures. Wind, Water, Earth and Fire.
In these years he had worked hard and mastered the water and earth manipulation to its furthest extent. He might not know many jutsus, but the ones he knew were deadly in his hand. With perfect control over the element and his chakra , a C ranked water jutsu could turn into a dangerous A ranked one. And this is without a water source. If the battle takes place near water, He can spout out S ranked jutsus for a very long time.
Earth style is also at its peak with reduced handseals and better manipulation to form sturdier earth Jutsus. He has begun his nature manipulation training in the other two elements but is at an intermediary stage. Wind is his third best element followed by Fire.
Apart from that, His fuinjutsu skills are exceptional. He has become a grandmaster in fuinjutsu by age eleven. Right now his fuinjutsu knowledge is on the level of Jiraiya or maybe even higher. With this pace he may need only a year or so before the decodes the Flying Raijin by himself.
His swordsmanship is a bit lacking if we compare ninjutsu and fuinjutsu. While he can augment his sword with chakra and unleash chakra attacks, He still is behind on augmenting his swords with the different elements. Well his basic sword movements have been refined well and if he doesn't face a sword master on the level of jonin, He can overcome the enemy with just swordsmanship.
Overall he can take on a jonin but the chances of victory is only 40%. Well if he uses the Kyubis chakra then the tables may turn. Right now he can use only two tails of the Kyubi's chakra but if we add it to his base strength, then his rank increases to the thresh hold of an elite jonin. But he will lose to the likes of Kakashi, Shisui, Itachi and most ANBU captains. But he will have a chance to win against weaker jonins like Kurenai, Anko, Asuma, etc.
His genjutsu is horrible. While he can break out of it quite easily, casting is still a bit difficult. Well when I wanted him to invest his time to learn it, He refused saying that he doesn't like genjutsu and he can already break out it and he felt that was enough for now. I wonder what he will do when he faces the likes of Itachi. May god have mercy on him.
On the other hand, bringing back Tsunade was quite profitable as the plan to create more medical ninjas were a bright success. The stubborn woman had challenged me every year for her freedom but each time ended up unconscious on the hospital bed. I had replaced her as one of my Advisors giving her more responsibility as revenge. I appointed Fugaku Uchiha and Shikaku Nara as my other two advisors. Subsequently the Jonin commander's position was given to Kakashi Hatake. Initially the position of Advisor was offered to Jiraiya but her refused, saying he had a spy network to run.
Another positive thing that happened in the recent years was the end of the civil war in Kiri. The team was successful in establishing contact with Mei and persuading her to allow konoha to help them. In the Final Battle, It was Shisui who used his mangekyou to break the genjutsu on Yagura and forced him to surrender. Returning to his senses Yagura himself stopped the civil war and explained the situation to his countrymen. He abdicated his position of Mizukage and Mei was chosen to succeed him. Kiri and Konoha had established a peace treaty which I had to personally attend to commence.
Small skirmishes happened in the borders of Iwa and Konoha but it never escalated to anything else. Sometimes I wanted to go and have a friendly chat with that old Onoki. But doing that may seem a bit unorthodox so I avoided it.
Well it's time for the cannon to begin. The final exams of the academy were to be held tomorrow. There is not a doubt that Naruto would pass. No the question was who to team him up with. The original team seven would be good but I wanted to try something new. I was thinking of putting Naruto, Sauske and Hinata on the same team. Hinata had studied under the medical department and is a good field medic. Plus her Byakugan and Juken would allow the team to be a heavy assault team. Sakura while a decent choice for the original team, lacks the X factor to stand out in this team. She is decent but not fit to be in a heavy hitting team. Not until she is rigorously trained by Tsunade . Disappointing. I think she need to witness the gore and death of the Shinobi world for her to take her training seriously.
So the teams came out like this:
Team 1-6 : Civilians
Team 7: Naruto, Sauske, Hinata
Team 8: Kiba, Shino, Sakura
Team 10: Ino, Choji, Shikamaru.
The students have been formed into different teams while they were in the academy and this list showcases the most compatible teams. Well it would depend on their passing of the exam tomorrow.
To pass, you need to pass the written exam with atleast seventy percentage marks. Then came the part of Shurikenjutsu. Again 70% is the minimum requirement. After that comes Taijutsu. A student must fight against a genin of the village and either defeat them in combat or last five minutes against them.
After this part, a student must show their proficiency with any single weapon of their choice. And the final portion of the test is Ninjutsu. Students must be proficient in the original academy three along with two C ranked Jutsus taught in the last year, or a single B-ranked Jutsu or higher.
Well good luck to all of those who will be taking the exam.
