I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me from behind, but whenever I turned around, there was nothing there.
As I got into the car, Damien's assistant whispered something in his ear. "These are all of Sofia Miller's documents."
I was aware that Damien was probing into my background.
While he suspected me of being Sophia Milford, it was merely conjecture.
Damien was arrogant. Instead of owning up to his part in Sophia's death, he sought out a look–alike to bolster his ego.
"Sofia was quite submissive before, but now she's become much stronger. I wonder if it's because she married into the Black family and gained support," Damien's assistant murmured.
Damien silently stared at me as I departed.
"Sir, please bring me to Huma Hospital," I directed the driver.
I had arranged to meet Violette at the hospital entrance.
Upon arrival, she was already waiting for me.
