"Ferdinand, put me down.
I can walk on my own," Arabella protested.
It would be so embarrassing to go to the dining room just like this.
It would also create a fuss.
The others could imply she was not feeling well.
Or that something happened that made her unable to walk on her own.
And something like that had a lot of interpretations.
"You lost some weight," Ferdinand frowned.
He had no plan to settle her down at all.
"Eh? I did?" Arabella didn't even notice.
"Are you even eating properly during lunch and dinner?"
They always ate breakfast together.
The past few days, lunch and dinner were usually with others due to the balls, banquets, and tea parties.
She couldn't really eat properly during such times since everyone was trying to get close to her when they realized she was important to Ferdinand and not an Empress in name only.
Thus, she was conversing with someone most of the time.
