Where did she come from? Um… Rosie didn't know how to explain it to Aslan. She couldn't possibly say that she was from outside of the book, could she? Aslan would probably think she was starting to go crazy.

"Not from Angaria?"

Rosie shook her head.

"Another kingdom?"

Rosie thought for a moment then nodded doubtfully. "I-I think so. I… don't know the names of the towns and villages because… I moved around a lot. I-I often mix up the name of the places, so I don't really remember it."

Aslan nodded in understanding. The man pulled Rosie's hand and kissed it gently. He wanted Rosie to know how he felt. Tomorrow, once they board the ship before dawn, they would be able to breathe a sigh of relief and rest. On Torao Island, they could build a calm and simple life.

If that was allowed, thought Aslan.

"Roseanne," Aslan called in a low voice.

"Yes?"

"About our child… do you still think that child is mine with another woman?"
