With the village well on its way to being rebuilt, our attention turned to fortifying the castle. Its walls, though ancient and strong, had taken significant damage during the battle. We needed to ensure that our stronghold was impenetrable, both for our safety and as a symbol of our renewed strength.
The first step was to assess the extent of the damage. Baelgor, Arawn, and I walked along the perimeter, inspecting the cracks and breaches in the walls.
"This section here is the most vulnerable," Baelgor said, pointing to a large crack that ran from the base to midway up the wall. "We'll need to reinforce it with new stone and magical protections."
Arawn nodded, his staff glowing softly as he examined the crack. "I can weave a binding spell to hold the stones together while we work on a more permanent solution."
