章 10: Collecting Noodles
"I am using spiritual power to protect the car." Mo Chenxuan revealed.
"You are a spiritual superpower?" Qin Wu couldn't help but be excited.
After the apocalypse, the human race evolved in one of four ways.
The first way was physical enhancement involving the eyes, ears, nose, throat, tongue, arms, legs, brain, or physique.
Of the physical enhancements, a brain enhancement was the rarest and also the hardest to detect.
Second, humans could evolve into elemental superpowers.
Elemental powers included water, earth, wood, fire, metal, ice, wind, and lightning.
Generally, among the elemental powers, the five natural elements were common, while wind, ice, and lighting were rare.
However, compared to physical enhancements, elemental superpowers were hard to encounter.
Third, there were special evolutions.
These evolutions included spiritual, space, and healing.
After eight years in the apocalypse, Qin Wu had only heard of two spiritual power users and five healers.
Fortunately, space powers weren't as rare as other special evolutions.
Finally, the fourth way was a physical mutation.
Unlike a physique enhancement that increased a body's defensive or offensive power, a physical mutation was a complete form change.
Ordinarily, humans could become beast mutants or plant mutants.
"I was also reborn. Why didn't I get additional superpowers?" Qin Wu complained.
"Are you sure you don't have other superpowers?" Mo Chenxuan asked in a mysterious voice.
"What do you mean?"
However, Mo Chenxuan didn't answer.
"Let's talk about it when we go back." He said instead.
Hearing this, Qin Wu frowned.
However, when she recalled where they were, she reluctantly nodded.
"Okay, I will wait."
After that, Qin Wu focused on maintaining her water superpower.
At the same time, she looked outside and was shocked by what she saw.
"The zombies are turning to dust as soon as they touch the car. I didn't expect our combined attack to be so powerful." She happily exclaimed.
"We are a perfect match, and our superpowers are also perfectly compatible."
Hearing this, Qin Wu smiled but soon turned solemn.
"If you have time to flirt, think of a way to leave this place. My superpower will run out in two seconds."
However, two seconds was more than enough.
Without hesitation, Mo Chenxuan stepped on the gas, and the car rushed out.
Three seconds later, the two finally escaped from the group of scattered zombies.
"Just in time." Qin Wu said, her face paler than a sheet of paper.
"Drink some space water." Mo Chenxuan reminded.
"Mmmmh."
Since the previous car had attracted the surrounding zombies, the road ahead was smoother than expected.
At half past ten, the two finally arrived at the gate of NRT Noodles factory.
"The main gate is closed." Qin Wu frowned.
"Let's get out of the car."
"Do you have a plan?"
"There is a footgate over there." Mo Chenxuan pointed at the foot gate.
Because Qin Wu was focused on the main gate, she missed the footgate and the security box.
"I don't see anyone in the security box."
"There are two zombies."
"I also want spiritual powers." Qin Wu grumbled as she got out of the car.

Instead, he put the car into his space and pulled Qin Wu to climb under the barrier gate.
Soon after, the two entered the factory through the footgate.
"I will deal with the two zombies." Mo Chenxuan said and directly walked into the security box.
Less than ten seconds later, he walked out.
"The main factory is two hundred metres from here. We still have to drive." He said, removed the car, and the two got in.
Less than a minute later, the car arrived in front of twenty large buildings.
"Which one should we enter?" Qin Wu asked while looking around.
"Let me check."
"What is the range of your spiritual superpower?"
"One hundred metres." Mo Chenxuan said, sounding a little unhappy.
"Why are you unhappy? One hundred metres is good enough for the time being." Qin Wu rolled her eyes.
"Mmmm."
After checking, Mo Chenxuan discovered three out of the twenty buildings had people.
Since he and Qin Wu didn't want to deal with other survivors, they drove to the most remote empty building.
"Lucky! It's a warehouse." Qin Wu exclaimed after reading the sign on the building door.
"Warehouse one." Mo Chenxuan smiled.
"Let's go in."
"Good."
"The door is closed." Qin Wu observed.
"Don't worry."
With that, Mo Chenxuan emitted a thin bolt of lightning and fried the electronic keypad.
"Lightning is so useful." Qin Wu sighed.
"Water is also useful." Mo Chenxuan chuckled.
A moment later, the door opened, and the two entered the warehouse.
"So many noodles." Qin Wu said, and Mo Chenxuan smiled.
NRT Noodles factory was a local distributor.
As a result, it warehoused and distributed billions of noodle boxes every year.
At a glance, there were more than ten million boxes of noodles in the warehouse.
Since each box had forty noodle packets, the warehouse had at least four hundred million packets.
"Let's take them." Mo Chenxuan urged.
"All of them?" Qin Wu couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable.
In her previous life, she habitually left some supplies behind.
This way, other survivors would find something when they came searching.
"Don't worry." Mo Chenxuan rubbed the girl's hair.
"From the information I have, there are ten warehouses of finished products, three warehouses of ingredients, six factories, and an administrative block. We can collect five warehouses of finished products, all the ingredients, and all the equipment and gasoline we can manage."
Hearing this, Qin Wu was relieved.

"Where are the people?"
"They are gathered in the administrative block and several factories."

Collecting the noodles wasn't difficult.
After all, the noodle boxes weren't nailed down.
However, collecting the equipment was another matter.
In the end, the two had to give up on most of the production equipment because everything was fixed on the walls and the ground.
"We can bring people to get them if there is an opportunity in the future." Mo Chenxuan said.
After leaving the noodle factory, the two hit the Moon Plastics factory and several other places on their list.
By the time they arrived at the Meat Processing Plant, it was already four in the afternoon.
However, at this time, some survivors had already overcome their paralysis.
When Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu arrived at the meat processing plant, the main gate was broken, and a line of cars was parked outside the factory.
