"What did you have in mind?" I asked a little hesitant because I was unsure where his question was taking me.

"Just a little restraint," he smiled, and his eyes searched my face for signs of panic. Apart from holding me tightly, he'd never asked me to do anything too wild in the time we'd been together. I often wondered if he'd thought I was too vanilla when it came to sex, but he'd never pushed me.

Everything we did together had been a natural experimentation during the act of sex, and I was happy with the results so far. It was because of that, and I suppose a little curiosity on my part, I nodded.

I think he must have seen that I wasn't quite sure even though I'd agreed, "Valerie, babe, if you don't want to do anything, you only have to say so, okay? We've both got to enjoy it or neither of us will."

I trusted that he'd never physically hurt me, so I nodded again.
