章 12: Personal Update About The Story

I know some people are thinking that this story is taking a turn towards slice of life but rest assured it's not going to be that way for long. I plan on things getting dark really fast and when it does there will be death of characters and Pokemon, along with some of the darker things that aren't mentioned in both the show or the books. But as of right now the reason for why some things seemed rushed is because of the time crunch I was put under by personal things. The story will be picking up in both longer chapters more in depth explanations of certain story points like how I described Shadow Latias, and Ashley. Now I know some questions ive been asked personally by friends of mine and some others haven't been touched on yet so I'll also go about answering them now. Question 1: what happened to Eric after he was reincarnated and before turning 16? Answer: Eric grew up in a small fishing town where he didn't remember any of his past life until he turned 4, then he started to remember bits and piece's of his past, that was also around the time he declared that he was going to be a Pokemon trainer. Eric also had some rough points in his new life prior to turning 16 and that will be touched on later in the story and I will now spoil any key points of the story that directly impact the Main Characters. Question 2: Is this a slice of life story? Answer: No. This is not a slice of life story. Right now I'm just trying to build up the Characrers just a little bit so that when tragedy strikes you feel for them. Question 3: Why do They (Eric and Ashley) have to sleep in shifts? Answer: In this time Pokemon aren't as played back and gentle, but are more likely to attack and kill you just for you being in their home. Question 4: Why did Eric's hand glow when Dratini attacked and when Shadow Latias hatched? Answer: the reason for this is simple, it's part of one of the gifts he received from Arceus, and the reason for why his hand glowed when Dratini attacked the bug type Pokemon in the forest and not when Dratini light the fire is just that, she was fighting other pokemon. Also when either of Eric's hands glow the his Pokemon that are fire type, dragon type, Psychic type or a shadow type Pokemon gain a boost to all of their stats temporarily, but it tires out both Eric and his Pokemon that are affected by this a lot faster, in time Eric will be able to choose when this gift activates and when it doesn't but as of right now he doesn't know how to control it or what the symbols on his hands mean or that the glowing means his Pokemon get a stat boost. Question 5: why didn't I include some of the Elite 4, champions and other characters from the show? Answer: I will over time include some of the other Elite 4 trainers but some of them are around Eric's age right now and hence they're not included in the trainer level system yet. These trainers that are right around Erics age are Lance, Cynthia, Steven, Wallace, and a few others. Question 5: will I include the other Regions? Answer: Yes but Eric will not be able to travel to all of them due to some still being at war with the Pokemon League as a whole or are not formally recognized as a region or part of the Pokemon League yet. Question 6: Will this be a harem fanfic or will the mc just have one love interest and will there be any R18 stuff in the story? Answer: As of right now I only plan on haveing Eric fall in love with one person but this is subject to change later if I cant decide on who Eric falls in love with, and yes there will be some R18 scenes but I will warn readers before hand so that if they want to skip it they can. Question 7: Will Eric try to catch other legendary Pokemon? Answer: Yes and no, Eric is of the firm belief that no one should catch high ranked Legendary Pokemon like Mew, Ho-oh, Lugia, Mewtwo, Dialga, Palkia, Uxi, Azaulf, Mesprit, Celeby, Jirachi and Arceus, but they can catch legendaries that have been know to reproduce (other then Lugia) such as a the three legendary birds, three legendary dogs, Manaphy, and others like them, but the only way Eric believes you should catch any of them is if they ask to join you but this to also comes with limitations as well like say if Eric was asked by another of the eon Pokemon if they could join and he accepts then he also has to let that Pokemon go if they want to leave. Question 8: Why did Professor Oak act surprised when Red mentioned Eric to him? Well as you may recall Professor Oak turned and looked at an old photo of someone he knew decades ago back when he was but a wide eyed young trainer traveling the world, I will not say more on it other then you'll have to wait and see.
