章 35: C-rank Mission 2

Rhydon was angry he was hurt and couldn't fight back. It almost lost its life. Now though it evolved it is stronger than before. Some of its injuries were healed thanks to its evolution. Even with this it was still hurt and couldn't fight for too long.

Boom! A light blue colored orb hit rhydon in the face. Although the hidden power was its weakness the level difference is too much. All this did was make rhydon angrier.

"Nice one eevee! Give it another one! Leo quick tell your graveler to use mud shot and prepare to run away. We won't be able to take it on now." Austin quickly yelled.

Rhydon was angry it used rock throw on eevee, who dodged with double team. Another attack hit it and that was mud shot from the tired graveler. Rhydon had enough of this and used earthquake.

Austin and Leo were a bit far and were least effected. "Quick call back graveler or it will be killed." Austin reminded Leo. Leo quickly recalled the fainted graveler.

Eevee fired one more hidden power and then fainted. Austin quickly recalled it into its pokeball. "Leo we need to run now!"

Leo respond with an ok and they start to run. Yet as they were about to leave a giant stone blocks there path. "Dam it! It actually knew rock tomb." Austin could not help but curse.

They both turned around to go to another direction but the tired Rhydon was blocking their path. Austin was unsure of what to do. He didn't have a plan and could only curse his luck. His first c-rank mission and already something goes wrong.

Ryhorn was going to attack, Leo was shaken by rhydon's appearance. Austin had multiple thoughts going through his head. Suddenly he heard togepi and he felt he had a chance.

"Togepi use sweet kiss on Rhydon!" Austin yelled and togepi happily kissed away. A pink energy flew and his rhydon. Austin snapped Leo out of his fears and told him let's go quick. Leo looked at Austin and felt bad for dragging him into this mess.

Leo puts his shoulders on Austin and tells him to get ready to run. Just as Austin was going to convince him not to sucide, Leo throughs a pokeball and yells "Run!"

Austin notices rhydon enterthe pokeball and knew that it might breakout soon. So he started running but soon stopped. Leo looks back seeing him stand like a fool and yell, " come on run what are you doing!" Austin's answer stumped him.

"I don't know if I should laugh at this ordeal but you caught it." Austin looked at Leo with a weird smile. Then both of them started laughing. The both of them rested and healed their Pokemon a bit.

They then made it out quickly and rushed to the gate. Good thing Austin had Torchic still full of energy. They battled a few monster but not many. on the way home Austin felt he was in an apocalypse because their were many bones on different pokemon around. As they were slowly reaching the gate, Austin would notice some spots had blood some trees were damaged. he then realized the severity of this world. In reality he had been lucky so far, if he truly met a situation like to day again then no one would save him.

No matter how he thought about it the world is actually much darker and the situation is slowly degrading. From the looks of it humanity may actually be on the verge of extinction. This brings the question why did the legendries not finish them off.

Austin was lost in thought as his group finally made it back to the gate they sighed in relief. Austin and Leo entered the gate looking like they were injured.

The trainer guarding the wall couldn't help, "What happen to you guys? You guys look like you almost died. It's your luck that you survived."

Austin just nodded while Leo responded, "The mission was going smoothly man but we got unlucky. We almost lost our live. Thank god I made it back."

After some small talk, the two made it towards the trainers clinic to get patched up. They had minor cuts and bruises. The earthquake also shook them up a bit even though they were near the edge of the attack. Austin was less hurt than Leo. This made Austin satisfied with the hidden power he trained.

After getting patched up, they made their way to the mission hall. The officer asked about the conditions of the mission and the proof of completion which was rhyhorns horn. This ticked off Leo.

"Look here man this mission was rigged your info was off. The rhyhorn was much strong than average high level Pokemon. I almost didn't make it back alive." Leo said.

"So what you mean is you failed your mission?" The officer asks.

Leo smiles and placed a pokeball in front of the officer and said, "The rhyhorn evolved as we were about to kill it. In the pokeball is that said Rhydon. This is worth a B-tank reward. I want this known by the league."

After hearing this the guard sweat as the information wasn't up to par. The rhyhorn evolved and these guys got lucky to catch it and return alive!

The guard quickly informed his superiors who sent a word to the league. An A rank trainer was sent. He through a pokeball and a big vileplume released. He then took the pokeball with Rhydon and released it. He scanned the Rhydon with his Pokédex as vileplume knocked it out with petal dance. Austin was amazed by the strength of vileplume and became even more determined to get stronger.

The A-rank confirmed the strength within the B-rank range and gave them there pay of 1500 dollars. Austin was given 500 by Leo. Surprisingly Leo wanted to keep rhydon and try his luck in taming it.

Austin and Leo go their separate ways. Austin heads to the Pokemon center to rest. This concludes Austin's C.. sorry.. B rank adventure.
