"Yes! Have you seen a small human boy and a Nidoran (M)? I believe the Nidoran (M) is your child while the human boy is mine. If you have, can you please tell me where they are?"
Seeing as how the human woman was finally able to understand him, Nidoking stood up and simply shrugged his shoulders. He acted them out battling Parases, Parasects, Spearows, and Fearows around his vicinity but that was hours ago. Where they were now, he had no idea. Nidoking then pointed off into the distance indicating that last he saw them; they were heading that way into the forest.
"Thank you, mister, um, Nidoking! I'll go in that direction and see if I find them!" After piecing the theatrics of the Nidoking together, Doria was able to figure out what her son and pokemon had been up to and where they had headed. West! The duo was last seen heading west. Doria got back atop Arcanine but just before they could set off, Nidoking blocked their path. Frustrated, Doria glared at Nidoking before putting her hands on her hips. "What!? I need to find those two troublemakers before they end up in too big of a situation for them to handle! If they're smart, they would have stayed in this forest but knowing those two dumbos, I fear they might try their luck closer to the Great Beyond. My boy and yours aren't ready to handle that level of danger yet!" Nidoking understood a parent's frustration and didn't take her lashing out personal. He just stood there, pointed at himself then pointed at the human woman and then marched in place.
"You want to come with me? To go find the boys? Why? Wait, no, welcome aboard! I should be thanking you, so, thank you! From your actions earlier, it seemed they were here this morning, but it's already well into the evening. Any longer and it will be practically nighttime. We must hurry!" Saying so, Doria headed off towards the west on the back of Arcanine while Nidoking ran after the duo.
Reaching the edge of the forest where Thora Forest ended and the Great Beyond started, the three noticed that the surrounding terrain that been disturbed, almost as if a fight had broken out. There were clear signs that Nidoran (M) was battling someone or something from the countless marks left behind by Confusion. It was too scattered for the two to simply be practicing their moves and with out deep the marks were, Vioarr concentrated too much power into each shot for them to be battling the weak pokemon Nidoking said they were fighting around his place.
Nidoking set off to do his own investigation before signaling Doria to check out something he had found. The sight left her imagining even worse things than she did back at home. There was a hole through the trees that had clearly been in the path of a powerful attack. Doria didn't know any of Vioarr's move that could leave any mark like this. Peeking over at Nidoking to see if he had any insights, she saw that he was deep in thought. Then, Nidoking started charging up and attack before releasing them at some nearby trees. The mark left behind by the Nidoking was almost identical to the ones they had found!
"If I saw correctly, Nidoking just used Hyper Beam. Although it's a move Nidoking doesn't learn naturally, that's besides the point. Hyper Beam is a move that is generally only learned in the later stages of a pokemon's life when they have gained a significant amount of levels! Those boys! They clearly bit off more than they could chew! Please! Please don't have let anything bad happen to my children! I still need them so I can tear them apart myself!"
Listening to Doria's ramblings, Nidoking felt a shiver run through his back. There really isn't anything more frightening than a woman scorned. Especially if that said woman is the mother of whoever hurt her so. Shaking his head, Nidoking deduced that since the attack came from their direction, it meant that the two of their children were running towards the opposite way. The way leading directly towards the Great Beyond. Although Nidoking was the king of his forest, he knew that there were plenty of his equals just roaming around barren tundra and those were just the normal pokemon. Don't even mention the true apexes of the Great Beyond, some legendary pokemon even stayed away from them!
Sighing, Nidoking accepted his fate as a parent. No matter what trouble his child and his child's friend got themselves into, it was only a parent's job to clean up their mess. Signaling to Doria to follow him, he started to walk past the boundaries of his domain and entered new land. Ever since Nidoking became king of Thora Forest, he hadn't step foot out of it but that's not to say he's never left it. When he was younger and still proving his might, he had dared to come to the Great Beyond at one point only be the bullied like a child by a pokemon who wasn't even in their final evolution like he was. Not wanting to be reminded of his dark past, Nidoking picked up his pace. The sooner he found his son and that human boy, the sooner he'll be gone from this place!
"Wait, if we're going into the Great Beyond then let me lead! Knowing that boy, he would have never come here unless drastic measures made him come. He's also way too smart to wander this land out in the open. If I know anything about my son, it's that he's a great trainer and no great trainer would intentionally lead their pokemon to doom. This means that he only has on choice, seeking shelter! He must have remembered me telling him about the hideout my husband and I used a long time ago. I bet that's where they went!"
Taking the lead, Doria dashed off towards the direction she remembered the cave used to be. Because it was so long ago, Doria had a difficult time pinpointing exactly where the entrance to the cave was. The only clue she remembered was that there were two rock formations that joined together to make a structure that resembled a Charizard. After some time, Doria finally spotted the thing she was looking for. Hopping off Arcanine's back, she rushed towards the formation only to discover a set of pokemon footprints disappearing into the hole.
"Yes! I know those footprints anywhere! They belong to Vioarr, I'm sure of it! Since there's only one set of footprints and knowing that Vioarr would never abandon his big brother, Jax must have been on his back. But how? Vioarr should only be a tiny Nidoran (M)? Who cares! The only thing that matters is that I was right. Hey! Arcanine! Nidoking! Come here! We're going to go back down memory lane!" After saying so, Doria hopped back onto Arcanine before the trio jumped down the hole. 'Please! Please be safe until I reach you!' Wish a mother's prayers, the three were enveloped in complete darkness.
