章 79: EPISODE 79: Battle Overload!
Lake Wisdom is close by! Silvent City is nearby! After a defeat against an elite four, name Draco, me and Riolu promised ourselves to train harder than before! In this way, we would become the very best, I will become a League champion! That's if, I train hard enough of course! So far, only Gardevoir is my fully-evolved Pokemon, my other Pokemons? They're great but they'll be excellent!
I forgot to tell you yesterday about the egg. The egg started to move a little bit when Gardevoir was carrying it. The veil also glowed even brighter than before! A new Pokemon is about to hatch soon, and I'll finally have my perfect team for this region!
"I can't wait for the Pokemon League, even if I know it's in five months time!" I beamed with excitement. I couldn't wait for what my final Pokemon team would like. I guess my battle with Draco pushed my determination higher than before!
"Don't worry, the Pokemon League will happen just before you know it!" Camellia smiled and charmed.
"Oh that's right, where would the Pokemon League be held in the first place?" I queried.
"Pokemon Leagues in our region mostly happen in Mt. Alympus! I would watch my mother battle against the league champion every year! Mom would always win." Zhery boasted and explained.
"Of course, your mother is the champion after all! But, I'm going to defeat your mother!" I uttered with determination.
"Heh? You wish! My mother's Pokemon is overpowered! She even defeated Cynthia!" Zhery boasted.
"Cynthia!? As in the champion of the Sinnoh region!?" Glade reassured.
"... And also Alder!" Zhery added and boasted.
"Alder, the champion of the Unova League?" Camellia reassured.
"Tell your mother to prepare cause I'm gonna defeat her, I also plan to compete in other Pokemon Leagues throughout the region!" I uttered with determination.
"That's great, I suggest you take part in the Pokemon World Championships! If you become the World Champion? You're automatically registered as a Pokemon Master!" Glade suggested.
"You think you'll defeat Arc? That guy is extremely strong!" Zhery warned.
"Of course Kalem can! As long as he trusts his Pokemon and his Pokemon trusts him, they are undefeatable!" Camellia uttered with excitement.
"Camellia's right! I can defeat Arc as long as I trust my pokemon!" I agreed.
"Speaking of Arc, look over there!" Glade pointed.
"Huh!? Ah! It's Arc training with his Pokemons!" I uttered with excitement.
"Please don't run off again!" Zhery begged.
"Arc still ows me a battle you know? The last time we met was in route fifteen! Now, I'm going to battle him this time!" I beamed with excitement.
"Just don't expect to win, you're battling a world champion after all. He defeated Leon and his blazing Charizard!" Camellia warned.
"Don't worry, I'm here not to brag about victories, I'm here to train and grow closer with my Pokemon!" I beamed with excitement as I rushed towards Arc.
"And he runs off again!" Zhery facepalmed and uttered sarcastically.
"Alright Quilladin! Use-"
"Hey Arc! Remember me! It's Kalem!" I waved and rushed towards Arc.
"Oh hi there Kalem! I didn't know that you were in the desert as well." Arc greeted.
"Yup! And I'm on my way to Silvent city! I'm going to claim my fourth badge!" I beamed with determination.
"Oh really? Cool! Me and my Pokemons were just training." Arc uttered politely and humbly.
"Training? Why don't you train with me? I challenge you to a five on five Pokemon battle!" I beamed with determination.
"Train with you?"
"Yeah! In that way, both of us could benefit!" I beamed with excitement.
"Kalem how many times have I told you not to run off like that!?" Zhery teased with frustration.
"Sorry... I got too excited that's all!" I uttered softly.
"Well if it isn't Glade and Zhery? My number one fan!" Arc greeted.
"Hi there Arc! Long time no see!" Glade greeted.
"So what do you say Arc, do you accept my challenge?" I interrupted with determination.
"Um ok! Sure, I accept your battle, right Quilladin?" Arc uttered with determination.
<Quill! Quill!> The Pokemon beamed with determination.
"It looks like your Chespin has evolved!" Zhery observed.
"Yeah! Chespin evolved into Quilladin" Arc boasted.
"Hey Irys, please scan Quilladin for me," I asked politely.
[Quiladin! Spiny Armor Pokemon! A grass type! It relies on its sturdy shell to deflect predators' attacks. It counterattacks with its sharp quills.]
"Cool! I want to battle it!" I beamed with determination.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Arc beamed with determination.
"Alright, I'll be the referee!" Glade volunteered.
"The battle between Kalem and Arc is about to begin! This is a five on five Pokemon battle! The battle ends when either side has no more trainers to battle with!" Glade dictated.
"Let me guess, you'll be cheering for Kalem right?" Zhery reassured.
"Of course I am! I'll cheer Kalem all the way!" Camellia beamed with excitement.
"Me? I don't know who to cheer for. Should I cheer for Kalem or Arc?"
"I suggest that you cheer for Kalem! Kalem is our friend after all, even though you think Kalem's gonna lose."
"Yeah! You're right Camellia! I'll also cheer for Kalem!" Zhery beamed with excitement.
"Alright trainers! Please send out your first Pokemons!" Glade instructed.
"If that's the case then I'll be choosing Metang!" Arc sent out an iron looking Pokemon which looks like a metal plate. Metang is the name of the Pokemon! It is also known as the Iron Claw Pokemon! A metal and Psychic-type Pokemon! When two BELDUM fuse together, METANG is formed. The brains of the BELDUM are joined by a magnetic nervous system. This POKéMON turns its arms to the rear for traveling at high speed.
"Alright Riolu! I choose you!" Riolu hops from my shoulder and into the battlefield!
"Alright! Battle Begin!"

"Alright Riolu, use Seismic toss on Metang!"
"Metang! counter with Thunder Punch!"
<MET! MET!> The Pokemon nodded and unleashed the attack!
*Riolu's attack was canceled! Thunder Punch blasted Riolu away!*

"Go Kalem, command me a move!" Riolu begged with determination.
"Great Riolu! That's the spirit, now use Force Palm!"
"Metang use Gyro Ball!"
*Metang used Gyro ball which canceled Riolu's attack! RIolu blasts back!*
<Riolu!> The Pokemon uttered with pain.

"That's it Riolu! Rest for now!" I substituted my Pokemon.
"Kalem substituted? He shouldn't have." Zhery suggested.
"I don't see anything wrong with substituting?" Camellia examined the situation.
"If Riolu uses quick attack, then Metang would blast off right? Then this would be Riolu's opportunity to use force palm as the Pokemon lands back five to four meters away from the ground." Zhery observed.
"You're right! I've never thought of that! Maybe Kalem has something in mind?" Camellia hunched.
"He shouldn't have with but hey? Ok!" Arc uttered in his mind.
"Alright Scyther you're up!" I called one of my fastest Pokemon out of his Pokeball.

"I'll be waiting for her Kalem!" Riolu smiled with determination.
"Have a long rest buddy! I'll need yah!" I uttered with determination.
"Battle Continue!"

"Metang use thunder punch before X-Scissors hits you!"
"Perfect timing! Now hit Metang on top!"
*Metang's attack was canceled! X-Scissors did maximum damage!*

"Metang use Thunder Punch!"
*Scyther's attack rose sharply! But Scyther was hit with thunder punch!*

"Oh no! Those thunder punches are strong." I uttered worriedly. I was in awe, I couldn't command quickly.

"Scyther, stand up! I know you can do this!" I uttered with encouragement.
"Oh no! Kalem's Scyther is paralyzed, the upper hand goes to Metang," Zhery uttered with worry.
"Don't lose hope Zhery! Kalem probably has an idea! Kalem's determined and smart when it comes to battling! That's why admire him, he would never give up!" Camellia uttered and restored Zhery's hope.
"You may be right there, we're unsure what kind of Pokemons Arc has in his bench!" Zhery worried.
"Ahh... Kalem I can't stand!" Scyther uttered as he pushed himself up.
"You can do this Scyther! I believe in you!" I uttered with encouragement.
"Metang finish with numerous thunder punches!"
<METANG!> The Pokemon rushes towards Scyther with full determination.

"Scyther, at least you tried your best! Now return." I smiled and returned Scyther to his Pokeball.
"Alright, Zorua let's go!"

"What the!?" Arc wondered in shock.
*A veil surrounded Metang and squeezed it!*

"Thanks Kalem!" Zorua smiled and uttered back.

"Great! Now use Pursuit!"
<Zorua!> The Pokemon rushes towards the foe and used Pursuit!

"Four More Pokemons left Kalem! You can do this!" Camellia uttered and cheered.
"Alright, Pawniard lets go!" Arc sent out Pawniard, a Pokemon which looks like a tiny samurai with an axe on his head. It is the sharp blade Pokemon! Dark and Steel-type! It follows Bisharp's orders to a tee when it attacks enemies. After slashing an opponent, Pawniard clangs both of its blades together!
"Battle continue!"

"Alright! Pawniard use Guillotine!!!"
"Guillotine!? What kind of move is that?"
"Oh no! Kalem's Zorua is doomed!" Camellia uttered.
"Kalem dodge the attack quickly!" Zhery shouted.
"Zorua dodge it!"
*Zorua was unable to dodge! Guillotine knocked out Zorua!*
"Guillotine is a powerful and vicious move which can knock out a Pokemon in one hit!" Camellia warned.
"So... that's why Zorua fainted easily," I uttered with shock.
"Pawniard is powerful right?" Arc boasted.
"You bet! I guess I have to watch out for that Guillointine move!" I uttered with shock.
"Alright, Treecko your number four!" I sent out my fourth Pokemon! A Pokemon with green determination.
"Heh heh!" Treecko glared at Pawniard!
"Battle Continue!"
"Alright, Treecko! Use bullet seed!"
"Pawniard dodge then use Guillotine!"
"Oh Arceus no! Treecko dodges the- NO!"
*Treecko's attack missed! Pawniard's Guillointine attack knocked out Treecko in one shot!*
"At this point, Kalem's gonna lose to a pawn!" Zhery worried.
"The only way to defeat Guillointine is by using a Pokemon stronger than Pawniard," Camellia explained.
"Treecko, return, and have a nice rest!" Riolu was getting worried at Pawniard's Guillointine move! Could Pawniard end-all of my Pokemon?
"That's it, Gardevoir it's all up to you!" I sent out a Pokemon stronger than Pawniard hopefully.
"Battle Continue!"
"Wait!" I halted.
"Is there anything wrong trainer Kalem?" Glade queried like a professional referee.
"Gardevoir! Mediator between the light and dark! Let your Psychic power flow through your blood and veins! On my command, you shall show them your true power!" I dictated with determination.
"Yes! Kalem's finally doing it!" Camellia beamed with excitement.
"Finally, let's see if Pawniard can defeat Kalem now!" Zhery teased and uttered with excitement.
"GARDEVOIR!!! MEGA EVOLVE!" My mega ring began to glow as well as Gardevoir's Gardevoirite stone! Gardevoir began to glow and finally entered the MEGA EVOLVED STATE!
"You already have a mega ring!?" Arc wondered it shock.
"Yup! And I'm going to use it against you!" I uttered with determination.
"Battle Continue!"

"That's Kalem! A trainer with limitless potentials!? Zhery cheered.
Gardevoir returned to her normal form.
"Thanks for everything Gardevoir! You deserve to rest!" I sent back Gardevoir's tired body.
"Alright Riolu! It's time to finish this!" Riolu hops back to the battlefield.
"Quilladin! Battle time!"
"Goodluck to both of you! Battle Continue!"

"Riolu dodge those flying Missiles and use force palm!"
"Not so fast, Quilladin use Vine Whip and throw Riolu back!"

"Congrats on your win Arc!" I complimented.
"You and your Pokemons battled great! I was shocked when Gardevoir mega evolved!"
"See you in the Pokemon League!" I beamed with determination and Shook Arc's hand.
"Kalem! You battled great! you may not win, but at least you had fun!" Camellia complemented.
"You're right Camellia! My losses prove that there's still room for improvement!" I beamed with determination.
So yeah we lost! Well what do you expect? I was battling a World Champion! Me and Riolu together with my other Pokemons will grow stronger! Me and my Pokemons will grow closer! Watch out Silvent City! Here I come!
