Milotic indeed did not launch an attack on the Sharpedo leader. Instead, it gathered two globules of life energy in front of its chest, which it then sent toward both the Gyarados and the Sharpedo leader. This was the Life Dew move.
Milotic had mastered the use of Life Dew to the point where the life energy it contained was incredibly concentrated, allowing it to heal two Pokémon at once.
As the life-infused droplets entered their bodies, the wounds on Gyarados and the Sharpedo leader stopped bleeding and began to heal at a visible pace. The tingling sensation during the healing process caused both Pokémon to twitch.
Before long, both Gyarados and the Sharpedo leader, having been treated with Life Dew, regained consciousness. Their injuries were significantly reduced, though not entirely healed, allowing their natural healing abilities to finish the recovery process.
"Roar!"
Upon waking, Gyarados roared angrily at the Sharpedo leader, still caught in the intense emotions of their previous battle. Its bloodshot eyes glowed menacingly, and a fierce, bloodthirsty aura radiated from it.
Fortunately, Gyarados quickly realized the battle with the Sharpedo leader was over, even though it wasn't entirely satisfied with the outcome. Gyarados felt it could have done better in the fight.
"Roar, roar!"
Gyarados growled at the Sharpedo leader again, as if issuing a challenge for a rematch. Clearly, Gyarados intended to fight again next time. Without waiting for a response, it swam back to Milotic's side.
By this point, the Sharpedo leader had also fully regained consciousness. It was frustrated that the battle had ended in a draw once again. At the start, it had dominated Gyarados with its strength, but now, Gyarados was growing stronger at a faster pace, putting more pressure on it. The Sharpedo leader worried that after a few more battles, it might actually lose.
Despite the risk of defeat, the Sharpedo leader didn't want to leave in disgrace. Fighting Gyarados had also made it stronger, and as a long-time tyrant of the sea, it understood better than most the importance of power.
For this reason, the Sharpedo leader silently accepted Gyarados' challenge for a rematch. It decided to return with its group after resting up. After nodding at Milotic, the Sharpedo leader led its Sharpedo group away.
Rex had watched the entire conflict from the beach. Now, he was no longer worried, as he believed Milotic could resolve the situation perfectly with its compassion.
Sharpedo, though aggressive by nature, was not completely unreasonable. Since it couldn't overpower Milotic's group through brute force, Rex was confident the Sharpedo clan would come to see them as equals rather than prey.
Milotic's most admirable trait was its decision not to attack the Sharpedo leader when it was defenseless but to heal its wounds instead. This act of compassion would go a long way toward easing tensions with the Sharpedo clan and reducing their hostility.
Of course, this action carried some risk, as there was always the possibility the Sharpedo leader could turn hostile again. However, Rex believed Milotic had taken this into account and was confident it could handle the situation.
As long as the Sharpedo leader didn't lead its group into an immediate attack after being healed, it was a sign that it no longer viewed Milotic's group as enemies.
In the future, the Sharpedo leader might return to challenge Gyarados again, but Rex was sure the Sharpedo clan would no longer prey on the Pokémon living in the bay — unless Milotic stopped protecting it.
"Milotic, you did an excellent job. Congratulations on becoming the guardian of this area!"
Rex smiled at Milotic.
Though he had only been an observer, Milotic and its companions had made real progress in their strength. More importantly, they had solved their own problems through their own abilities.
With the Sharpedo group gone, Milotic's group didn't plan to stay much longer, either. Their territory was still at Jade Moon Lake, after all. Although they often swam in the sea for fun, Jade Moon Lake was where they truly felt at home.
On the way back, Rex rode on Lapras' back. Soon, with the farewell of the other Pokémon, they left the bay.
By the time Rex returned to Jade Moon Lake's shore, it was already evening. The day's events had been quite overwhelming, but thankfully, everything had gone well, leaving him with no need to worry.
After bidding farewell to Milotic and the others, Rex returned to the small building, intending to share the day's events with Yuli and the others.
When he entered the hall, Rex noticed that no one was inside, which puzzled him since Yuli and the others would normally be preparing dinner by now.
However, Rex didn't dwell on it for long, as he soon heard voices coming from the backyard. Clearly, everyone was back there.
In the backyard, Rex found Yuli and the others leveling the soil with hoes, while two Taillow, a Jumpluff, and a Marill happily chased each other nearby.
It seemed the three women had already mapped out the area, with each taking a section and leaving the middle as an open space.
Seeing them hard at work, Rex was curious as to why they were suddenly so passionate about planting.
Not wanting to disturb them, Rex decided to make dinner himself. Though he rarely cooked on the farm, he often practiced his culinary skills while traveling, and his cooking had improved significantly since the day he arrived in this world.
Of course, Rex knew his cooking wasn't as good as Yuli's and the others, but he still felt confident it was at least restaurant-quality.
Once in the kitchen, Rex began gathering ingredients and planning a meal based on what he found.
Thanks to his recent training, Rex felt that all his muscles had been thoroughly refined, and his body coordination had improved dramatically. Now, he found himself moving with ease while cutting and cooking, feeling as though his actions were perfectly in sync.
Soon, a table full of food was ready, and Rex hadn't even broken a sweat. It was then that he realized just how much the All Star Fitness Body Training Technique had benefited him.
Through the training, his body's potential had been unlocked to a high degree. This wasn't just a boost in strength, but an overall improvement in his abilities.
