章 18: Chapter 18
The only problem with having sex with a demigod was their insane stamina, especially someone who I basically forced to train their physique a few hours a day. So after almost a week of steamy sex, I was ready to become productive again.
I had the perfect method to be productive and that was by kidnapping some kids. Well, teens to be more exact since puberty could affect the future serum.
"FInd them for me, Crow," I told my pet raven monster. It was a monster so it could find demigods easier and since scrying had a range, this would be better. I watched it fly away at blinding speeds. I wondered which of my monsters would find my targets first.
While they were busy I decided to get back to collecting everything I need for the immortality ritual. The grind never stops, unfortunately.
Pov Swap:
Derek, son of Phobos and his twin Eren, son of Deimos, was going on a quest. The circumstance of their birth was a weird event one that left both brothers embarrassed. Their father did a lot of things together and that apparently included women. How a mortal could give birth to children of two different gods in one session would leave a lot flabbergasted.
"Quit daydreaming, you twats," Their leader on this quest said. She was the daughter of Priapus and unlike her father, she was fortunately born with normal genitalia.
"Of course, sweet cousin of mine," Derek said to Amanda, who only rolled her eyes.
"Our target is awaiting in the heart of this forest. This is the perfect location for my Chlorokinesis, this minotaur doesn't stand a chance." She said confidently.
"I don't like this, this forest seems ominous and what about the rogue that the oracle warned us about," Eren said, with a twinge of fear.
"For the son of a god of dread, you certainly are a pussy. And knock it off, your powers are increasing my dread as well," Amanda said, a bit more cautious now. "As long as we keep our guard up the rogue would be handled well enough,"
"If you are sure," Eren said unsurely as they began walking through the forest. The animal noises didn't assure him at all.
"I feel as if I am being watched though," Derek said. "The fear I can sense from the other creatures is palpable as well,"
"Yeah, this is like a scene from all those horror stories our mother told us when we're younger," Eren as he held his weapon tightly.
"We are stronger than the character from the stories, so don't worry," She tried to assuage them but the eeriness of the forest certainly didn't help.
She quickly looked around and passed a dark figure. As soon as she realised she looked at the spot where she passed and her dread increased as she realised it suddenly vanished. She was one of the oldest demigods at camp, at the age of 19 and at this time she trusted her senses.
"Come out, we know you are there," She said. Monsters were quick to attack when provoked and she at least wanted it to attack them rather than just stalking them. "Get in formation and one of you watch our back,"
Nothing happened for a moment before Eren was suddenly hit by the horn of a minotaur, with golden dust all over it signifying that the time of death wasn't long ago. Eren screamed, letting the other two members turn around as well.
"This is our target, something killed it before we arrived. Let's get out of here, this is getting too creepy for my liking," Amanda said and looked as she was about to flee.
"What happened to my brother being a pussy," Derek asked but he wasn't against the idea.
"Not the time, cunt." Just as she said it, music started playing. Wolves and other animals started to howl according to the beat. "What the fuck is this,"
If she was more cultured she would recognize this as Dies Irae, the Mozart version to be specific. Whatever it was, it unnerved Amanda and she began using her powers to control the woods and plants to try and fight off the animals.
It unnerved her even more as they just continued singing as she tried to destroy them. "Fuck, I didn't sign up for this," Someone muttered behind her. This was true, while they knew monsters were scary, the fear factor was usually that they could kill you. This, however, induced a higher grade of psychological damage.
"Help me you bastards," She yelled as she threateningly waved her weapon to the animal after they deftly avoided her wood spikes.
"I am trying, I can't increase their fear or anything," Derek yelled. She was close to panicking at the moment and was close to becoming deranged. Eren's screams rang out the next moment and as they turned around they saw that he was thrashing into the air being carried away by a bird.
She tried to use her abilities to let a vine wrap around her younger cousin's leg, but the flying creature nimbly manoeuvred around it and when she finally was about to grab onto him, the vine stopped, changed directions and swiftly moved towards her.
All while the ominous classical music kept playing in the background. At the crescendo, though, a figure stepped out, clad in dark armour that gave no clues of its wielder's identity. It was an improved version of the nightingale armour from the popular video game Skyrim and in the dark woods, it looked terrifying to the remaining two. So much, in fact, Derek turned and ran, only for a monstrous snake to leap up to him and bite him. The paralyzed demigod fell to the ground with a thud.
"Please, I didn't know I was trespassing on the territory of a god," Amanda quickly pleaded, but the armoured figure only stared at her. The next moment the ground opened up and she was being buried. She panicked as she dragged deeper until only her head remained above ground.
Ezra Pov:
"You didn't have to do them like that," Said Iliana as we left the forest, carrying three unconscious demigods in our vehicle that Daedalus created. Being the son of the female Hesphaetus certainly came with perks and being the master of said son granted me those perks as well.
"True, but the damage I inflicted would make them more obedient in the longer run." I replied easier.
"Please we both know it is because you're a sadist," Iliana replied.
"I'll admit that I have partial sadistic tendencies to people I don't care about," I said, giving her the point. That whole affair was too fun so I can't really deny it. "Maybe I should take residence in another forest and scare the shit out of random humans who would camp there."
After the release of Phasmophobia in my previous world, I became a little addicted to the horror genre. So while I can't enjoy any horror games at the moment, I can at least become the horror.
"Good, I am glad you know your flaws." She said with a nod of her head.
"Big talk for someone whose main flaw is loyalty," I said.
"As much as you like acting like a bad guy, I know you love me, even if not in a romantic way. You are also a greedy bastard so I know you would look after me," She said and I smiled.
"Yet you still follow me around," I said with a fond smile. I underestimated Iliana in the beginning, I thought I wouldn't get attached to her and didn't use my abilities to stop myself as I did with my siblings at the time. Though I am glad, life would be boring without loved ones you could trust.
"Yeah, I am a mess, but I couldn't ask for someone better to love," She said with a smile as well. I quickly kissed her, causing her eyes to widen.
"Don't think too much of that, nothing romantic about a kiss between two bros," I said, enjoying her smile. I may be an evil bastard but I am not a sociopath who didn't get attached to people.
"Let's get these three to base then we travel to another forest and scare them as well," Iliana suggested.
"Maybe we'll even meet a cyclops on the way," I had a hate boner for them since they were the first ones to attack me. It was fine, I was benefitting the world by getting rid of them.
