I put away the communication device.
I have to increase my rank. I can feel that I can break through to the next rank anytime I want so I am gonna do it now. I did not do it before as I did not want to get spotted by strong mutants and use my low rank to get away from their detention range.

Gold has a 50% chance of getting a new skill after absorbing some special class-related thing while the unique class has a 100% chance of reviving the new skill after absorbing the special thing related to the class.

After taking a few deep breaths I calmed myself and my body. I opened the bottle and took a small sip of it.
I immediately closed the bottle and put it away. As the substance inside the bottle entered my body it caused various reactions. Lots of sweat appeared on my whole body. All of my internal organs began to get corroded. I feel unbearable pain all over my body.
Before I die a strange power rises from my blood and heals my body. It brings my health back to the normal level. I hurriedly used skill devour. A system notification appeared in front of me.
Reading the system message all the pain I suffered just moments ago felt like it was worth it. Now the chances of me winning have increased by 60%.
I made some more changes and waited for my last enemy to appear.
After some minutes of waiting my target arrived. I looked at Officer Ross who emerged from the dark forest and stood in front of me.
I get up from the rock and stand up to face him.
Instead of directly attacking me Officer Ross kept looking at me. I also did not move so as not to give any opening to him.
There is deadly silence between us. It is Officer Ross who first breaks this silence.
" hello young man. I do not remember offending you so why did you kill my men and try to kill me? Can I know the reason?" (Officer Ross)
" would you believe that you guys forced me to kill you? I was just minding my own business when you guys sealed the whole area to hunt down one person. Don't you guys think you were too arrogant by doing this? I mean just play a game between yourself why drag the bystanders into it?" ( David )
Officer Ross did not comment on my answer but I can feel that his aura changed. Compared to the friendly old man talking to the youngster now he looks like an evil old man ready to kill.

" I will not spare your life but I will not kill you. I will give you the life worse than death. So get prepared to receive it." (Officer Ross)
I drink all berserk potions to increase my powers. My powers increased to limit of my rank but this boost is for a limited time so I must end this battle as fast as I can.
Officer Ross took out his sword and charged in my direction. In the next moment, he disappeared from my view and my instincts warned me of the attack from the right side.
I dodged the attack by a fraction of a second. Just where I was a sword passed through at great speed. I was lucky enough to dodge that attack or I have lost a hand at least.
I formed some distance between me and Officer Ross. Officer Ross did not go for a second attack but just stared at me. With laughter, he talked to me.
"if this is your best then you are far from my opponent. My next strike will end this game. Get ready boy here I come." (Officer Ross)
Saying this Officer Ross once again disappeared from my view. This time I directly activated all of my defensive skills. A sword aimed at my stomach stopped by a shadow barrier before it penetrated my stomach but the power of the sword started to increase. Suddenly the sword backed away and attacked my chest. This time barrier failed to stop the sword and it penetrated my chest.
Officer Ross appeared in front of me holding the handle of the sword that penetrated my chest.
" I missed on purpose boy. Now tell me the location of Judy or you will suffer the pain you never imagined in your life." (Officer Ross)
I looked into his eyes and motioned him to come closer. Officer Ross leaned closer to my face.
" you should go for my head old man." ( David )
Saying this I crushed the bottle and black smoke covered us.
Taking advantage of the surprise element I pulled out the sword in my chest and backed away from the fog.
Due to the fog, my body already started to show signs of collapse both internally and externally. At the last moment, my bloodline skill saved me.
