章 349: Chapter 349: A lot of questions

It was not often that Lloyd did something like that. And whenever he did, it was always been to protect her or his people. She turned to the Shagird with narrowed eyes. What had the creature done to earn the prince's ire? She wondered, her eyes taking in the abused state of the child-like creature. 

"My lady!" The Shagird exclaimed, looking at her with miserable eyes. Folding its hands before her in submission, it begged, "Please save me." 

Elize stepped forward, her hands reaching out to the innocent being in reflex. She suddenly felt a strong urge to protect the creature, its huge teary eyes calling out to every inch of her melting heart. As if caught in a spell, she took a step towards it unconsciously. Strong hands quickly clamped down on her shoulders, pulling her back to her position.
